Talon Avalon is a Timecaster; a cop who is able to look back in time and view crimes that have already happened. But that was before he was framed by an alternate version of himself from another dimension. Now he's being hunted in this world, and countless parallel worlds, as the biggest mass-murderer in history.
While trying to save his kidnapped wife and clear his name, Talon fights to prevent a series of mishaps that could destroy the multiverse, along with the very fabric of spacetime. He only has a few hours to save an infinity of humanity. All it will take is guts, his fists, plenty of narcotics and adrenalin, some high tech weaponry, a wise-ass sidekick, a few talking dinosaurs, and enough strength to survive a plethora erotic encounters. Time is NOT on his side.

I will listen to NO boring book. Old Fav's,Card, King , Hobb. New Fav's, Hill, Scalzi, Sawyer, Interested in Lansdale, Crouch, Konrath
IT SOUNDS LIKE A BAD SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL
If you have not read the first book, then get that first. The author even admits that you will want to read the first book first.
I FOR ONE DON'T HAVE PIANIST ENVY
If you really loved the first book, then you should like this, if you only liked or did not like the first book, then READ ANOTHER F@#K%^G BOOK. This is not as good as the first. The story gets bogged down in it's complexities. You got Talon, Talon 2, Dark Talon, etc. The story it's self repeats and you go thru some of the same scenes as the first book. It was still a fun listen, Yummy returns, but she is a lot different. Harry enters about half way thru the book to bring some levity into it, I liked the Traffic-a-pied. The jokes about Windows 35 are LOL. There are some long parts, where nothing too funny or entertaining happens. As a whole I enjoyed the book, I like Kimball's style of writing and I will get the third book when it comes out.
Lawlor is a perfect match for this book.
Listen to the audible sample, that should be enough to tell you if this is your thing or not.
I love Audiobooks!
We listened to this book on a long drive across the country, and we were laughing and enjoying the story as we went. Sure the plot was silly and crazy, but it's a "Joe Kimball" story, where people get punched in the groin a lot.
Nerdgirl who loves to read and listen during a nasty 2 hour daily commute. Mostly listen to intelligent stories to escape road rage - love s
Let me start by saying that I am a fan of Joe Kimball, J.A. Konrath, Jack Kilborn and whatever other names he dreams up. I have read his Jack Daniels novels and I LOVED Timecaster. This book however was awful. The plot was too ridiculous for even a scifi nerd to enjoy. The ending was the very worst. When the book ended I was actually angry that I had wasted my time on it. It was THAT bad. I normally don't get so riled up over a book however this one was a real piece of work. The gratuitous sex, the fat jokes(not funny dude),and especially the sheer stupidity of the ending - singing fruit - really?? It was all too much for me. I think if I had stopped listening to the book a couple chapters before idiotic ending I would have given it a higher rating. I did enjoy that he brought back a couple characters from his Jack Daniels series and shamelessly self promoted through the book. That cool and funny. The rest was mostly crap with a few bits of entertainment. Read it if you must but don't say I didn't warn you.
I am not really qualified to write a review as I never got past the first five minutes. In this time, I was told that, if I was not the person to whom the book was dedicated, I should not be reading it. Then I was told that the book contained lots of f!@#$% swearing, lots of graphic sex and other f!@@##$ stuff and if I didn' like it then I should find another F$%^^#@ book to read.
I choose to find another book .... what a pity that I cannot return this one and get my money back. I am not a prude but this sort of gratuitious and abusive introduction does not suit my style of being entertained.
the best thing about this book is that the writer doesn't take himself too seriously, it's clear in the style of writing, the story line, and how far out of realilty he takes it. it was quite funny at times, and that is what kept me listening, even though it just got more and more outrageous and unbelievable...
the worst thing was that it became sometimes a little too outrageous and unbelievable that I'd lose interest and get lost in my own thoughts whilsts listening. never a good thing.
it's very clear that I am not the futuristic Sci Fi type.
my favorite character was the crooning banana, Yes, this book had a singing banana!
Yes, avoid all furture books written by Joe kimball
