Against his training and his common sense, and in violation of the chronmen's highest law, James brings Elise back to the future with him, saving her life but turning them both into fugitives. Remaining free means losing themselves in the wild and poisonous wastes of Earth, somehow finding allies, and perhaps discovering what hope may yet remain for humanity's home world.

excellent story well narrated

This was a good story with likeable characters and a novel story line. It wasn't too predictable and it wasn't too unbelievable. Lots of room for a sequel and I hope we'll see one, because we all want to see Valta (?hard to tell spelling in an audiobook) get their comeuppance.

What did you like best about this story?

How the Author made Time Travel realistic, as if it could be possible someday.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed when James risked even more by going back in time to get The Mother of Time so that he could bring her to the present to help with a cure for planet earth.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When James brought back Elise. I was not excepting him to do this and the moments leading up to it really had me on my feet. I actually was listening to it to and from work and when I got to this part I sat in my driveway listening to it when I got home from work!!

Amazing story, amazing book and I hope to enjoy more book by this Author!!!!!!!

Great book

The content of the book and the flow of the story was very good. My only problem was the narration, I had a real hard time with his voice. It almost caused me to stop listening

good story but ending is very sudden and is left open for a possible second book?

Great plot

Loved the plot setup and storyline but this book was a bit too fantastical for my taste. Think it would have been better executed if time travel was the only major technological advancement the main character had. Everything surrounding “bands” became a bit cheesy in my opinion. Regardless, the plot and characters were interesting so I still devoured the book!
