BT, Gary, and Mrs. Deneaux race to the Talbot compound in a desperate bid to turn the tides of a lost war. Is Michael dead? This is the question plaguing the Talbots as they prepare for the final showdown with a merciless enemy hell-bent on their absolute destruction.

I love how he incorporates blood guts hire and sarcasm all in one. He couldn't be a better writer for the scifi zombie lover!
The humor is so much fun in a horror novel. Mark Tufo makes the Zombie Apocalypse an enjoyable ride.
Zombie guts mixed with a laugh.
Mike Talbot of course
When Tracy thought she'd never see Mike again.
Audible makes me love being stuck in traffic :)
I just didn't like this one very much. Very disappointed. The showdown at Mike's dad's house wasn't so bad, but what the heck was up with the zombie makeout session? Why did we go back to that? And did Tommy/Tomas really just reintigrate with the family after all that? The ending left me confused about Tommy status in the book.
Despite those issues, it was sitll a good story, but the quality of the delivery is seriously declining (not the narration but the actual words chosen to convey the story). I used to look over the editing issues in the first few books because they were infrequent and didn't detract from the overall effect. I'm talking abou issues like sentences unitentionally beginning and ending with the same word or phrase. It's becoming frequent enough to be distracting.
Finally, the humor just isn't what it used to be. Like the descriptions where Mike Talbot says something like "I was madder than [insert really long descriptive humorous phrase here]." They were funny at first, but now they seem like they're always trying to top the descriptive phrases in the last book, and in so doing, they seem forced, not funny. I'd like to see Tufo stretch his humor wings a bit, and try something outside of his comfort zone. I know he can do it. The first few books were very funny.
I have not seen the print version
The other Zombie Fallout audiobooks because they were just as awesome!
Any scene with Michael Talbot and BT in it!
PLEASE Mark Tufo, KEEP WRITING ZOMBIE FALLOUT BOOKS!
I loved Mike's Conversation with a creator!
He has really fine tuned his character voices! Love hearing his BT voice!
I think Tufo has gone some crazy and hard to believe directions, however Mike Talbot and the gang are such great characters that he has free reign!
Heck yes! You must read this series. Mark Tufo is becoming one of my favorite writers in this genre. Just got the Indian Hill series and the writing and Sean's performance are awesome. If you have been wavering, stop it. Give them a listen You WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks Mark!
Mark Tufo has found a new and fresh take on zombie fiction and his main character, Mike Talbot, is just an average guy with faults and issues which really helps you to connect to him and the stories. Every book in this series was a great read/listen and I would completely recommend them to listeners that like zombies, adventure, suspense, humor or emotional stories. There is something here for everyone. Additionally, the narrator for these books is amazing. He completely gets Mike Talbot and characterizes him perfectly. I hope there are going to be more stories to come. This climax to the series doesn't disappoint...I couldn't stop listening!
way better then the new day by day hour glass book
yes but they dont listen to audio books tho
just the way he makes the character come to life...i dont think i'd listen to the books if sean wasnt mr talbot
i did laugh, didnt cry... but was a tad annoyed by the ending....
overall good book, i think needed some more wow factor at the ending but hey other then the ending being meh, its all good guy :)
Yes, I would recommend this book and the entire ZFO series. The characters are all written in a very rich manner.
I have no other series or book to compare it to, but if you liked this you would likely enjoy Gill's All Fright Diner. It has a very similar comedic aspect to it.
Sean Runnette is fantastic! I had to physically read one of the books and I really missed Mike because Sean just brings Mike and the rest of the cast to life. He understood the characters so well.
"A horrifically good time"
One of the best Zombie series I have ever read. On occasion Mark Tufo will digress and get off topic, but not to the point of annoying.
It was the best one ever.
totally makes up for the nowhere that 5 went. Probably because he spent more time writing it. Mark tufo is the underground virtuoso of the supernatural humorous zompocolypse.
all of them because they are flawed and realistic, instead of cookie cutter stereotypes of cellophane novel characters. good work tufo!
He's the absolute best at what he does, and without him the humor would be deadpan and emotionless. Sean Runnette is the voice of Tufo!
It cant be a single film. just not possible. If it was a tv series though... AMC are you listening?
if you felt let down by zf5, get this book now, 5 was just the prologue for what happens next.
