BT, Gary, and Mrs. Deneaux race to the Talbot compound in a desperate bid to turn the tides of a lost war. Is Michael dead? This is the question plaguing the Talbots as they prepare for the final showdown with a merciless enemy hell-bent on their absolute destruction.

I loved Mike's Conversation with a creator!
He has really fine tuned his character voices! Love hearing his BT voice!
I think Tufo has gone some crazy and hard to believe directions, however Mike Talbot and the gang are such great characters that he has free reign!
Heck yes! You must read this series. Mark Tufo is becoming one of my favorite writers in this genre. Just got the Indian Hill series and the writing and Sean's performance are awesome. If you have been wavering, stop it. Give them a listen You WILL NOT be disappointed. Thanks Mark!
Mark Tufo has found a new and fresh take on zombie fiction and his main character, Mike Talbot, is just an average guy with faults and issues which really helps you to connect to him and the stories. Every book in this series was a great read/listen and I would completely recommend them to listeners that like zombies, adventure, suspense, humor or emotional stories. There is something here for everyone. Additionally, the narrator for these books is amazing. He completely gets Mike Talbot and characterizes him perfectly. I hope there are going to be more stories to come. This climax to the series doesn't disappoint...I couldn't stop listening!
way better then the new day by day hour glass book
yes but they dont listen to audio books tho
just the way he makes the character come to life...i dont think i'd listen to the books if sean wasnt mr talbot
i did laugh, didnt cry... but was a tad annoyed by the ending....
overall good book, i think needed some more wow factor at the ending but hey other then the ending being meh, its all good guy :)
Yes, I would recommend this book and the entire ZFO series. The characters are all written in a very rich manner.
I have no other series or book to compare it to, but if you liked this you would likely enjoy Gill's All Fright Diner. It has a very similar comedic aspect to it.
Sean Runnette is fantastic! I had to physically read one of the books and I really missed Mike because Sean just brings Mike and the rest of the cast to life. He understood the characters so well.
"A horrifically good time"
One of the best Zombie series I have ever read. On occasion Mark Tufo will digress and get off topic, but not to the point of annoying.
It was the best one ever.
totally makes up for the nowhere that 5 went. Probably because he spent more time writing it. Mark tufo is the underground virtuoso of the supernatural humorous zompocolypse.
all of them because they are flawed and realistic, instead of cookie cutter stereotypes of cellophane novel characters. good work tufo!
He's the absolute best at what he does, and without him the humor would be deadpan and emotionless. Sean Runnette is the voice of Tufo!
It cant be a single film. just not possible. If it was a tv series though... AMC are you listening?
if you felt let down by zf5, get this book now, 5 was just the prologue for what happens next.
Zombies Books in order: 1. We're Alive 2. Day By Day Armageddon 3. Roads Less Traveled Series 4. Alaskan Undead Apocalypse 5. World War Z 6. The Walking Dead 7. Rise Again 8. As the World Dies 9. Zombie Fallout
By now you're well acquainted with the type of humor in these books. I don't mind it, but it should be just once in a while. I even fast forwarded parts of the trip with John because the entirety of it is a side quest with side characters and it just wasn't important to the story and since I'm not a dope head couldn't relate to whatever is so funny about drugs.
Mrs Deneaux become my hero, finally someone who took the apocalypse seriously and kicked ass despite being a fragile old lady. But if she is so keen on self preservation its remarkable that she is so blatant about her motives when she knows she is reliant on the people shes with to survive.
There are several odd inexplicable things and plot holes in this story. Such as it starts off with divine intervention which left me wondering if there was any point to fear dying anymore. Also what was the point about the knife and the rune stones, not to mention the sudden appearance of the Shaman from nowhere? The end of the book just kinda wrapped up in a rushed fashion without tying together previous elements which were alluded to. The story built up and has so many elements but everything is just irrelevant to the end.
The epilogue is probably the most powerful part of the entire book and worth reading to the end. If only more of the book was like this.
Good book and series, but not ravingly good and not enough about zombies but rather vampires and other things.
It was a great ending to a great story. I love the humor, horror and above all family.
His voice gave the characters personality, that helped shaped their appearance in my head.
Oh yes! I have been waiting for this book and since I listen on my phone in my car. I have been taking unnecessary drives all week.
Over a very brief period of time I've become a big fan of Mark Tufo's works. His stories have just the right blend of humor, wit and action. ZF6 was another in a growing list of very entertaining works. Thanks Mark! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
The entire time Mike Talbot spent with John the tripper was great. I especially enjoyed the part describing John pulling Mike through the birth canal. Hilarious!
Sean does a great job narrating the series. His in character voices keep the listener eganaged and make it hard to put down.
I think the loss of Tony while defending Ron's house was very moving.
Great writing can even make the zombie the end of the world fun and interesting. I can wait to see how the story is continued
