Publisher's summary

The number-one New York Times best-selling author Kelley Armstrong delivers the novel her fans have been clamoring for: The epic finale of the Otherworld series.

It's been more than 10 years, a dozen installments, and hundreds of thousands of copies since Kelley Armstrong introduced readers to the all-too-real denizens of the Otherworld: witches, werewolves, necromancers, vampires, and half-demons, among others. And it's all been leading to Thirteen, the final installment, the novel that brings all of these stories to a stunning conclusion.

A war is brewing - the first battle has been waged and Savannah Levine is left standing, albeit battered and bruised. She has rescued her half-brother from supernatural medical testing, but he's fighting to stay alive. The Supernatural Liberation Movement took him hostage, and they have a maniacal plan to expose the supernatural world to the unknowing.

Savannah has called upon her inner energy to summon spells with frightening strength - a strength she never knew she had - as she fights to keep her world from shattering. But it's more than a matter of supernaturals against one another - both heaven and hell have entered the war; hellhounds, genetically modified werewolves, and all forces of good and evil have joined the fray.

Uniting Savannah with Adam, Paige, Lucas, Jaime, Hope, and other lost-but-not-forgotten characters in one epic battle, Thirteen is a grand, crowd-pleasing closer for Armstrong's legions of fans.

The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Entire series.....BEST EVER

It begins with BITTEN and with each book it just gets better. The MEN OF THE UNDERWORLD was just totally awesome. Then there's 13, great as was the rest of them. I swear, if you don't like this series, this book...it's you.

Constant Motion!

What did you like best about this story?

I was completely impressed at the way so many characters from this series made an appearance in a way that made sense to the completion of this story. They didn't just appear for appearance sake. This story was non-stop action and constantly kept you thinking.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Without specifics it actually did both - it had many highs and lows which makes for a great book!

Any additional comments?

I can honestly say, when I started this book I couldn't imagine that this was a series finale, as there are so many characters and it is such a diverse series, but Ms. Armstrong really went all out to make this book worthy of a fantastic series!

Love this series

If you could sum up Thirteen in three words, what would they be?

It's a great book and the narrator is good except someone needs to let her know Clayton has the Louisiana drawl...not Elena. Disappointing when you've been reading the entire series and you know the characters. Otherwise she does a good job.

No spoilers

Armstrong is one of those author's you can't get enough of. All the book's in this series were beautifully written. Well developed world with lot's of action, suspense, romance and some chuckling. The ending was left to feel like we still may get more even though this was to be the last book. I highly recommend and will read/listen to anything Armstrong writes. Truly a master author. Narration was excellent Johanna Parker is one of those narrators you know you'll get a top notch performance, a performance of excellent voices, emotion, and delivery. I wish the whole series would be re-read by Ms Parker. Happy reading/listening

Goodbye.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, but I would advise my friend to read the other books first to put everything in perspective.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Thirteen?

If I told you that would ruin the story. But lets just say Savannah and Adam!

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to name.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did. Lol.

Any additional comments?

I will miss this series. It is the final one in the Otherworld series, the story left me wanting more. I will miss you!

Last book

Any additional comments?

Thirteen is the next book in Kelley Armstrong's Otherworld series. It is billed as the last book in this series. After a listen, it is clear why. Armstrong does a great job wrapping up the series and giving all the characters an end-some happy, some not. This is a strong addition to a wonderful series. NOTE: This series was turned into a TV show in 2013.
