This year, it's the best. Without a doubt.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Third Grave Dead Ahead?

Oh, when Charley finally meets the gang who owns the mental hospital where she goes to talk to Rocket. I loved this whole scene! Was funny and touching, and why I love Charley so much.

Which scene was your favorite?

It's hard to choose, there are so many great scenes, but I love when Charley and Reyes come face to face for the first time since she's bound him to his physical body.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Hilarity abounds w/ Charley Davidson is around!

This is the BEST series I've listened to this year ~ the stories are incredible, and filled w/ hilarity, but Lorelei King adds to that w/ her awesome narration...she does these voices SO well, it's as if she were born to be Charley!

If I could recommend one Audio series for everyone to listen to to judge audio books by, it would be this series, I love it that much!

What made the experience of listening to Third Grave Dead Ahead the most enjoyable?

The Narrater brings Brilliant writing alive. Keeps you on your toes and very upset when it ends. Can't wait for the next. Had me laughing in the grocery store people thought I was crazy.

The BEST SO FAR!!!

The third book of the series left me craving for more! I cannot wait for the next in the series! Darynda Jones has such an amazing talent for writing witty, natural dialogue, and can tug at the heart all at the same time. I was really upset towards the end, but then she turns things around and ends it perfectly. If you have not read the first two books, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??!!! :)

Betrayal

Not as many laughs in this book. Charlie gets to the bottom of 3 different situations. She has to deal with betrayal. What was that bumper sticker from book 2? "If it has testicles or tires, it's trouble" ?

great story

I'm enjoying this series and seeing the character evolve, and in the process making it far more interesting than anticipated. Especially book 3, I found myself replaying certain parts because I enjoyed the dialog so much. the plot and outcome are still transparent at times but it doesn't take away from the richness of the characters, the dialog, and overall direction of the series. Nicely done.

Lorelei King makes this a great listen!

Where does Third Grave Dead Ahead rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This series is not bad, although not my favorite for this type of book. The storyline is pretty good, and I love Charley's kick-ass attitude, but the constant swooning over Reyes wears a little thin. A little too much romance for my tastes.

What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?

Lorelei also narrates Kyra Davis's Sophie Katz books, and they ARE my absolute faves! I am an avid Audbile listener and few narrators can match Lorelei's range of voices and compelling storytelling. I will listen to a book just because she narrates it, and that's a first!

I'm loving this series!

This installment has our favorite Grim Reaper/PI/Portal-to-the-other-side doing what she does best along with her usual motley gang of friends, family, and colleagues helping along the way. Not to mention Reyes. Ah, Reyes, I can't get enough of the son-of-Satan/portal-to-the other-other-side/male-model-beauty-extraordinaire. He is Hell sent!

This story has the perfect amount of witty dialogue, plot, and subplot to keep the reader entertained, satisfied, and wanting more. I can't wait for the next installment of the Charley Davidson series. I don't usually like books with the same main heroine throughout the series, but I just can't get enough of Charley Davidson. She has a lot of good qualities wrapped into one without it being totally unbelievable, well beside the fact that she is the Grim Reaper, but you know what I mean. The supporting cast in this series is superb. I enjoy the different layer of each character that surrounds Charley and the varied and strange situations she always finds herself in.

"Wild Ride"

I read/listen for entertainment. I was very well entertained! The story line is a little out there for my taste but its an escape. Personally, I love the sarcasm. I live in the southwest so with the setting in ABQ, I think that is fun too. Looking forward to the next one...HURRY!

Lorelei King is an outstanding narrator. She is really fun to listen too. I found this series by searching her specifically. She does such a great job in the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, I was looking for more of that. Thank you Audible for that feature.

I was anticipating this book for quite some time and I cannot wait until the 4th book is released.

What other book might you compare Third Grave Dead Ahead to and why?

The night huntress series by Jeaniene Frost. The witty and sardonic characters are wonderfully entertaining.

The characters are all pretty great in their own way. They are developing Along with the story. Funny ,sad sometimes and poignant. Great read or listen!
