Timeless friendship, witty banter, nice pacing.

Theft of Swords is an amazing start to a breathtaking, ambitious series. Actually an omnibus, it is made up of books: The Crown Conspiracy, and Avempartha. They work well together, and I can understand why they have been packaged as such, but you are indeed getting two fully fleshed out singular stories.
The Crown Conspiracy introduces you to the world and the characters and starts to hint at the massive overarching plot, but its job as a first book is to ease you into things, and it does so admirably.
Avempartha sees the politicking of the enemy side come more into the light, as they move on a more tangible plan. Meanwhile, our main boys Royce and Hadrian take on a job to save a young girl's father, and they get tangled up in much more than they bargained for in the process.
Tim Gerard Reynolds definitely adds something to the story, rather than simply reading it.
Highly recommended.

10 Times

I've listened to this story more than 10 times. It is entertaining and the narrator's range of character voices is great. All of the books in this series are captivating and the final punch line explains so much.

Great story, confusing narration

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but I found the narration to be confusing.

The tale of the thieves, Hadrian and Royce, starts off simple enough but it quickly snow-balls when they become embroiled in a conspiracy to kill a king and anoint a new emperor.

I found this story entertaining, and was very quickly caught up in the lives of the characters.

Sullivan's voice runs through the narrative with a quirky sense of humor that had me laughing out loud, and a vivid imagination that had me so caught up in the story I was very disappointed when it ended.

The only negative thing I have to say is that the narrator sometimes confused me. He did a great job, but sometimes the dialogue was difficult to discern. He did voices for different characters, and sometimes they wandered and melted into one another so that it was difficult to distinguish who was speaking.

And it's "Ry-ri-a" not "Ri-year-a"

First audio book I have listened to. Enjoyed it.

Was easy to listen to, did find at times it became dry and hard to keep up.
