Movie Plot recovers to solid story

Loved the story by the end, but the first half read like it was created specifically for a movie plot. fine overall, but story complexity was lacking until the second half.

Fun story.

Didn't think I would like this. Doesn't take long to get to know and enjoy the characters. There are 2 books in this book.

Great Story

Would you listen to Theft of Swords again? Why?

Listening to Theft of Swards was really fun. It is an entertaining story. I will want to listen to the next books in the series because the characters are well developed and you will care about them. It is the oldest story ever told, but the characters make it, "oh so amusing".

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ezra Harden - mysterious, all powerful wizard with no hands. That says it all.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Not tried so hard to make the women's voices. He got better as the book went along but it was a bit like Disney's version of "Wind in the Willows" with the British accents.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was difficult to stop listening to the second half of the book - it gets very good about half way through.

Any additional comments?

I feel like you could see the author and the narrator getting better as the book progressed. It is a bit of a challenge in the beginning but well worth sticking through the beginning.

Entertaining

It was very entertaining and I had a hard time putting it down. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Lord of the Rings, Eragon, and the Davinci Code.

Fantastic; imagination, dreams & wonderment

Time well spent and worth every minute; that goes for whole series. I feel like it's been too long since I've enjoyed an ending as much and so I'm adding this review to first book also.
If you enjoy this genre, in this the characters come alive, you forget that you are reading or listening and you are seeing the action, tears, embraces and kisses.
I feel that our world today could really use a lot more thought on forgiveness, inner nobility, honor and the fact that 'sometimes people are just people for goodness sakes'
Please don't give bad reviews if you don't like the idea of Knights, elves, dwarves, magic and long ago... This story isn't for you so don't ruin it for those of us who remember that almost childlike way to imagine, dream and get lost in wonderment.
Thank you Michael J. Sullivan
