Bad Timing

The readers pacing felt very awkward to me. Just did not flow well, pauses were way too long between sentences and she didn't seem to know what to do with the "he said" and "she cried out" after speaking in the characters voice. Her lack of timing hurt the story, which I found very dreamlike. The reader had a good voice, perhaps better editing might have helped.

Amateur narrator

Listening to the narrator swallowing and smacking lips was very distressing at times. Better recording and editing would have helped a great deal. Her choice of voice for the son is disappointing and is not different enough from the mother to be an easy listen. I'm glad I spent less than 3 dollars on this book.

Defective

Just 4 minutes in, the story disintergrated to gibberish. Repeated itself and sounds that had absolutely nothing to do with the story intruded. Called audible.com on 5/28/12. They said would take off my account, give refund, and would e-mail when fixed. 6/15/12 still waiting for credit and email. 6/15/12 was once again promised credit and this time promised $10 gift certificate (got that). Will give another review when I get a chance to listen to story.
