One of the major voices in science fiction, Mike Resnick presents the first volume in a bold new trilogy.
Jefferson Nighthawk--known and feared by many as the Widowmaker, the consummate bounty hunter--has been frozen for a century in order to defeat a deadly disease. Only now the cost of his care has risen, so the Widowmaker is called out of retirement for one special commission, and a very large chunk of cash. A notorious assassin has been wrecking havoc on the Frontier; who better but the Widowmaker to defeat him?

Been a fan of Mike Resnick for a long time. Always happy to revisit the frontier and go along for the ride. This book was OK but nothing stellar. I will continue to buy, read and listen to his work, I just think he has more in him to give.
BTW whoever read this book did a great job. Thank you.
Widowmaker is made for audio consumption: nothing competes with the skill of a good narrator
There is something of King's Gunslinger series to this work: it smacks of spaghetti Western which in no way diminishes its delivery
Stephan is arguably the greatest narrator of our generation besides George Guidall
Definitely: this book builds its narrative in a very engaging manner
I wish Resnick was as prolific as Larry Niven
