As Kelsier's protégé and slayer of the Lord Ruler she is now venerated by a budding new religion, a distinction that makes her intensely uncomfortable. Even more worrying, the mists have begun behaving strangely since the Lord Ruler died, and seem to harbor a strange vaporous entity that haunts her.
Stopping assassins may keep Vin's Mistborn skills sharp, but it's the least of her problems.
Luthadel, the largest city of the former empire, doesn't run itself, and Vin and the other members of Kelsier's crew, who lead the revolution, must learn a whole new set of practical and political skills to help. Amazing sequel!!
4.5 stars rounded up to 5. I do think the first one was better, but I love Brandon Sanderson’s books & this is no exception. Fast-paced and intriguing continuation of the Mistborn saga. I love Vin, Elend, and Sazid so much.

Incredible story
Sanderson is such a great writer. Great book 2 loved all the twists. So exciting. We finished the book in the dead of winter all huddled around the fire.

A Tale of…One City
Sanderson’s writing prowess never ceases to amaze me. The fantasy elements are the cherry on top of a finely-made character story concerning identity and true leadership. And all of this takes place in just one setting (for the most part)! It reads like a master of the craft just showing off.

Brandon is a world weaver

Book kept me engaged. One learns to befriend characters and root for them. I'm glad Vin and El stand together. Suspenseful, warm and hopeful. I look forward to hearing the next book!
