Great book

I loved it always like the his work. to be honest it has a amazing flow to it that never seemed to lose my interest.

A really enjoyable read/listen

The story is very engaging and explores many philosophical, theological, and scientific questions through the events and characters in the story. I would suggest this book for any grade 11-12 teacher looking for a book that is fictional and explorative of western culture's contemporary issues and questions.

Intriguing and rewarding

This takes some time to build up, but if you stick with it, you will be rewarded. The last part of the novel is brilliant - classic heroism, but so well done. The rest of the novel is well-written, with a believable, imaginative world and enough character depth to keep you invested. I'm looking forward to the next.

highly recommend

Took a couple chapters to get in to it but was great once I caught on.

There was only one tiny thing that bugged me and it was at the very end of the book where one of the narrators pronounced a name differently than the other narrator. I know... nit-picky but your ear just catches it after 40+ hours of listening to it pronounced one way.

Captivating Book!

I thought this would be hard to focus on when I first started it because of the cadence of the beginning but, it got better and better until I literally could not stop listening!! I really liked the narrator, he managed to do the various characters without sounding ridiculous and still keeping the not of this world way of speaking.. Nice job! The woman who narrated was also really good although, towards the end it sounded a bit like she wasn't reading all at once and piecing together different recordings. Maybe my device? I will of course now look for a sequel because I MUST KNOW!!

Didn't like the narrator at first, but his voice grew on me. I put off reading this for far too long and glad about the purchase. Getting all books!

Great fantasy novel, looking forward to series

Great fantasy novel, looking forward to the full series. First book in a long time that I actually read, although I did switch to the audio book when I craft

finally

the beginning was a struggle I believe due to the narrators monotonous tone but I was able to push through and finally was able to grasp the story line....I'm going to be brave and hope the next book is read with a little more energy

Starts slow

It takes about half the book until it starts getting interesting. I think a lot of that was foreshadowing, but not obviously so.
