I am a proud owner of a Victorian Home in Galesburg, Illinois that was built in 1894,
which is where & when Charlie wanted to go with Louisa, and where & when Sam DID go after he found "The Third Level"! Given this, I love this story!!!
Finney is a nice writer well known for Time travel type stories of which this is one. not the best of his short stories, but passable. narrator Vendetti better than on the Dunsany but still not great. luckily story is short and good enough to overcome him.
