Publisher's Summary

Greed pulls the archaeologist Matt Carse into the forgotten tomb of the Martian god Rhiannon and plunges the unlikely hero into the Red Planet's fantastic past, when vast oceans covered the land and the legendary Sea-Kings ruled from terraced palaces of decadence and delight.

Talented enough to co-write The Big Sleep film with William Faulkner and imaginative enough to pen the original screenplay for The Empire Strikes Back, Leigh Brackett is a giant in the science-fiction field, and The Sword of Rhiannon is one of her most popular adventure tales.

    "Fun Journey!"

Who doesn't love a good space opera! I loved getting lost in all the action & drama.

    "Superb book"

I have enjoyed this book since I was a child. One of my first books and the story never disappoints me. I paints a picture on my mind that plays tricks on my senses. One of the few books where you live entirely in the book. Characters and scenery are built in your imagination.

The reader was not as I had hoped. His voice as normal is very good. However when he imagines the characters his voice is strained and doesn't go all the way. He is ok to narrate but needs to work on his characters.

Overall I really enjoyed the audio book. Listened to it over a day and a half at work and it was a glorious experience. Thanks.

    "1950's space opera"

If you like the 1950's space operas you'll love this, however, it is very much a product of its time.

    "Very good fast paced story"

Well paced, tightly packaged story. Could perhaps have had a few additional episodes to expand the main characters, and give them an opportunity to grow.
