Written by multiple Hugo, Nebula and World Fantasy Award nominee Jay Lake, "The Sky That Wraps the World Round, Past the Blue and Into the Black" was first published in the March 2008 edition of Clarkesworld. It was selected for inclusion in The Year's Best Science Fiction: Twenty-Sixth Annual Collection, edited by Gardner Dozois.
Over his long career, Jay Lake has published 10 novels and more than 300 stories. He was honored with the 2004 John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
