Then Dag is called away by an unexpected and vicious malice attack on a neighboring hinterland, threatening Lakewalkers and farmers both. What his patrol discovers there will not only change Dag and his new bride but will call into question the uneasy relationship between their peoples - and may even offer hope of a less divided future.
Don't miss the first volume, Beguilement.

I like the story a lot and it gives a lot of loose ends in order por sequels.
I like the climax part of the battle
The sex scenes are very well made in general
It made me laugh in certain passages but no crying at all
Very well narrated!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
I have Really enjoyed this series, beautifully written and narrated. Many thanks Lois :)
Lois McMaster Bujold is a long time-favorite author. I was thrilled to find one of her books as an audio option. I'd love to have all of her work available for my daily commute.
As I listened I could eaisly imaginge the scenes and personal interaction!!
I actually added a star for the great narration. I enjoyed book one enough to get book 2, but there is just not enough going on in these stories to keep me interested. There is maybe an hour of action in these 12 or so hours and the rest is just drama and chores around the camp. I really like Dag and I kind of like Fawn, but sometimes I wish she would just hush! I can't decide if I want to push on into book 3 or not.
