Drizzt returns to Luskan, and the Realms will never be the same!

The Arcane Brotherhood has long held the city of Luskan in their power, but when corruption eats away at their ranks, Captain Deudermont comes to the rescue of a city that has become a safe haven for the Sword Coast's most dangerous pirates. But rescuing a city from itself may not be as easy as Deudermont thinks, and when Drizzt can't talk him out of it, he'll be forced to help.

Drizzt is back in action again, and bringing more changes to the Forgotten Realms setting. This all new hardcover adventure will keep Drizzt fans guessing the whole way, with edge-of-your-seat action and plot twists that even the most casual listener of the Forgotten Realms novel line can't afford to miss.

Victor I miss

This reader's voice & cadance drives me insane. At least pronounce the names and cities correctly.

great story but the narrator not so good

so first off this is a great story I love you stories and it was great my only problem with this book is the guy who narrates it. he does a great job with the boys and giving light to the book The only problem is the mispronunciation that he does with names of people cities and sometimes items that you have another book. I wouldn't discourage anyone from listening to these but I would tell them taken with a grain of salt because it can get a little bit annoying to hear him mispronounce main character's names and main cities names. but all in all book to listen to very enjoyable and really enjoyed the series and continue to listen to him over and over again.

Decent. Different but decent.

Great Book. Different from a lot of Salvatores work with the piracy and siege of the city from that perspective. It's not my favorite R.A. Salvatore book but its definitely worth a read. it was kind of hard to keep up with all the characters without having the book to read and visualize the characters but I managed. I'm never really impressed with the narration if to many people sound like old worn out wizards.

the narrator

is great. has a lot of enthusiasm for the reading he just butcher's some of the names of characters and locations but it's ok, the different names and attitudes for them almost make them a different character and change my perception of cities and other places! great listen

I miss the original reader...

It's not that the new reader is bad, I just got used to the original guy. Great book! Great series!

political intrigue returns to the series

The story itself was a refreshing return to the political intrigue of the Drizzt series. Presumably, Bramhall was contracted to record this novel when it came out, well before Audible and Bevine did the earlier books in the series. For that, I can’t fault his voices or pronunciations (well, not all of them). His narration is well done, though his voice work seems limited to a few tropes (dwarf, sailor, and generic American doing English)

I have read everything Salvatore has published. I love his series'. I love all of them. This book was a bit less than his usual but I still enjoyed the story.

Narration improved, story grim

Although bramhalls first attempt to narrate a drizzt book was appalling, this second one was ok. I'm tired of whiney wulfgar. This story is good, but not finished.
