"loved the adventure and the lore."

I would recommend this to any Tolkien fan or lover of adventure and fantasy. all the books have kept me on the edge and often sleep-deprived.

"Too many undead for my taste."

The first two books were fine but the third one I didn't care for it all. Going across the ocean traveling to a foreign land , armies of undead. It just felt like the writer was really stretching to continue the plot and make it interesting.

This series is well thought out, complex and interesting. You find yourself rooting for the characters and hoping for the best throughout dire situations. A great find, I highly recommend the evermen series!

    "Enjoyable listen!"

I enjoyed this but there is a beginning of predictability to the story by this point in the series. There is a little suspense by jumping from sets of characters, I wanted to know what was going to happen straight away!

    "Probably the best so far"

Path of the Storm is the best of the trilogy so far, in my opinion. So often with trilogies the books get worse as the series progresses, but Maxwell seems hellbent on breaking that rule.

The aftermath of the war and realisation that one of the feared Evermen has returned adds a new dimension to the plot. Ella's insistence, even when others beg against it, to find a way to bring Killian back sees her gaining help from a source that, ordinarily would be seen as unthinkable.

In my last review I stated how Maxwell expanded his world, showing new lands and people. This time he's done it again, but on a far grander scale. The exploration into both the past and the present lands of his world make this book as enthralling as the plotline he has drummed up with the returning Everman.

All in all, this is a solid book and one that should not be missed.
