Alone on the battlefield. Surrounded by death. Cornered by enemies. And ready to die.
Drizzt Do’Urden has become the Hunter, the bane of the orc hordes still ravaging the North. Cut off, alone, convinced that everything he ever valued has been destroyed, all that’s left is to kill, and kill, and kill, until there are no enemies left. But there are a lot of enemies, and even the Hunter is just one lone drow.

I'M A PROUD GRANDMA OF 8. i LOVE BOOKS OF ALL KINDS, HISTORICAL AND PARANORMAL DOCUMENTARIES AND WATCHING PERIOD MOVIES. I LOVE AUDIO BOOKS
The narrator, Victor Bevine, makes the story come to life. I enjoy this series immensely.
If you like fantasy/adventure genre just buy this audiobook and you won't be disappointed. Make sure however that you start from the first book because this is the continuation of the story.
2 a month... guess I'll have to wait a couple days for the next one but I don't think I'll be stopping any time soon. love these books and love this narrator!
Audible allows me to take a vacation not just to exotic places but to exotic galaxy's and realms. for that I am thankful. this is app #1.
If you liked the first Salvatore books with Drizzt in them you'll like this one it's everything a second book should be it has all the meat and potatoes the only reason I gave it 4 stars in regards to the story is because it is all war so it has no desert, the story tends to take you to a dark place and there's very little sunshine in the book other than the Revenge Factor so by the time you get to the end of the book you're ready for some sunshine but the author stays true to the consequences of War even though there could be a victor there really are no winners so by the end of this book you are ready for some sunshine. the great thing is I dont think you will predict the ending of this one. although the book is dark, The first 3 books that we fell in love with Drizzt were bleak, so if you love the first books you'll absolutely love this one.
you'll need to listen to the first book in the trilogy before this.
man what a great story, with great voice acting too! it kept me listening, rapt.
After the fallout in the first book we see Drizzt learning what it means to be an elf from an elf. Is she interested in teaching or to be more? The battle for Mithral Hall is still continuing and everyone should be listening to the tiny voice warning them, but their not. At the same others are learning about themselves in ways they never thought they would need too. Yet, we must as in this time or turmoil is what are the gods thinking? Is Drizzt really working for the Spider Queen unwittingly by causing all the Chaos in the underdark? I guess we’ll find out.
