"Anita Blake, vampire hunter, is now herself a hunted woman. Who put the $500,000 price on her head - a man or a monster? It's not just her own skin she needs to save; the rivalry between her werewolf boyfriend, Richard, and Marcus, the other alpha werewolf in his pack, has come to full boil. And there's always Jean-Claude, the vampire who's been waiting for just the right moment to slip inside Anita's head and heart. Don't assume anything, though - Hamilton's probably got a few more surprises in store." (Amazon.com review)
I enjoyed this book more than her earlier ones, and much much more than her later ones. I enjoy going back and reading the Anita Blake series up until about Blue moon...and just lost interest in the direction she had taken. Out of all this has to be my favortie one though.
The only word can use is WOW!!!!!!!!!
The scene with Anita and John-Claude in the bathroom.
When Anita wanted to save both Richard and John-Claude
This is a MUST read book!
I live on the Gulf of Mexico and I love to listen and walk the day away along God's beautiful grace.
Love this series..... begin with book one.... Anita Blake kicks butt first, then takes \name...
I really enjoy the narrator (Kimberly Alexis) without whom the story would have been good but nearly and memorable.
I thought that "the Killing Dance" was similar to Mistral's Kiss. Both had the same feel to them. Almost too much a like.
Anita of course with a close 2nd as Johan-Clud

Doing more then a couple hours of driving a day in rush hour traffic, this is my cure to Road Rage! lol Well... I don't get Road Rage but I had never been a fan of stop and go traffic. These Audio Books make it so I don't mind at all, in fact I sometimes feel I get home too quickly and have to sit in the car for another 5 minutes until I get to a part I can feel good about pausing. hehe Group Hugz
I really like this book. It's one of my favorite in the series and I had an extra credit so I thought I'd listen to it. The narrator isn't bad. She does Jean Claude in a good French accent, which surprised me. I did NOT like the sound effects. They took away from the dialog and made me think of B-movie suspense moments and bad porno music. It doesn't ruin it, but i was glad I read the book before I listened to it.
I listened to all 6 in order. I was suprised by Anita's choice and maybe a little disappointed. I suppose it is a matter of opinion. Overall very entertaining.
