Love in vein: listen to more tales of Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter.
©2009 Laurell K. Hamilton; (P)2009 Penguin
"Anita Blake, vampire hunter, is now herself a hunted woman. Who put the $500,000 price on her head - a man or a monster? It's not just her own skin she needs to save; the rivalry between her werewolf boyfriend, Richard, and Marcus, the other alpha werewolf in his pack, has come to full boil. And there's always Jean-Claude, the vampire who's been waiting for just the right moment to slip inside Anita's head and heart. Don't assume anything, though - Hamilton's probably got a few more surprises in store." (Amazon.com review)
The only word can use is WOW!!!!!!!!!
The scene with Anita and John-Claude in the bathroom.
When Anita wanted to save both Richard and John-Claude
This is a MUST read book!
So far this book is my favorite in the series. I didn't get bored once. I'm not going to say that I'm thrilled with the ending, but I don't want to spoil anything so I'll remain silent. Can't wait for the next one.
I enjoyed this book more than her earlier ones, and much much more than her later ones. I enjoy going back and reading the Anita Blake series up until about Blue moon...and just lost interest in the direction she had taken. Out of all this has to be my favortie one though.
The sound effects
It's a great read i love this books.
I love this books i have have most of them in hard back. The only thing that makes me mad is u can't find 5 of the books in the series narcissus in chains, cerulean sins, incubus dreams, micah, and danse macabre.
I really enjoy the narrator (Kimberly Alexis) without whom the story would have been good but nearly and memorable.
I thought that "the Killing Dance" was similar to Mistral's Kiss. Both had the same feel to them. Almost too much a like.
Anita of course with a close 2nd as Johan-Clud
I will be listening to this audiobook again. The thrills, danger, sexiness, and all of it quality writing and reading.
I think the thing that really keeps me going with this story and series is Anita's character and characterization. She's kickass, yet complicated. I don't always like the choices she makes, and the stakes are high.
The love scene. I've been waiting for that to happen and oh myyyy
If I could sit for 13 hour straight, I would.
Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series. I never want it to end.
The story is great like the rest of the series hit the audio production is a bit odd. Like the confused audio books with a radio/ audio show. One narrator but with background music and sound effects. While the narrator was okay, the sound effects were a detection to me. I don't think I will purchase any more from this part of the series.
