Seemed more like an intermediate story than Book 1

How could the performance have been better?

MacLeod Andrews nothing against Alexander Cendese I just preferred MacLeod Andrews way of performing these characters.

Any additional comments?

To really get this book you will have had to read/listened to the previous Rho novels it was good but not great.. enjoyable becaus I am already invested in this universe and want to see where it goes.

Great addition to the first three

A excellent way of picking up the story. Each character is exciting to read about. You get drawn into everyone's own story. I was a little disappointed with the narrator. I hope the next audiobook will have the previous narrator.

A great story can't wait to read the rest of the books as soon as they come out

the story progresses

I was put off by the new reader. It's not the first series to do this and it is very annoying. The reader isn't all to blame as I'm sure there was someone directing him as well that went along with the stupid accents, voices and pacing.
The story progresses but many points including the end felt rushed.
Without the progression in the story that I was looking for, I would have given it overall 3 stars.
I'm not a writer. In fact, I suck at it so I do feel bad critiquing so harshly. That said, as a "reader" you expect the same if not more from an author that has put out 6 pretty good books in the series. I'm hoping next book will be better.

Kasari Nexus

Masterful author, I really enjoyed the book. It was suspenseful every single page. I really love the way he developed the story. Thank you very much I can't wait for the next one. It was really fun to listen to and you went the extra mile on your research . Love the ripper!!

Please bring back the old Narrator!

This Narrator is no where near as good as the previous and his voices harm the integrity of the characters.

Still enjoying the story line...

I still find this series very enjoyable and exciting to listen to on a regular basis.

Captivating. After each book, I couldn’t wait to get to the next. Constantly on the edge of my imagination, waiting for the next phrase or paragraph to give some relief.

Cendese is terrible

I have more than 100 audio books and Cendese is easily the worst narrator so far. Bad enough to make it hard for me to want to finish this book. If the rest of the series wasn't so good I wouldn't have finished it.

You get a pass this time for time served

Can't switch performers in a series like this. It detracts from the whole. That said this was pretty short because I love it
