Publisher's summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson, the Mistborn series is a heist story of political intrigue and magical, martial-arts action.

Who is the Hero of Ages?

To end the Final Empire and restore freedom, Vin killed the Lord Ruler. But as a result, the Deepness - the lethal form of the ubiquitous mists - is back, along with increasingly heavy ashfalls and ever more powerful earthquakes. Humanity appears to be doomed.

Having escaped death at the climax of The Well of Ascension only by becoming a Mistborn himself, Emperor Elend Venture hopes to find clues left behind by the Lord Ruler that will allow him to save the world. Vin is consumed with guilt at having been tricked into releasing the mystic force known as Ruin from the Well. Ruin wants to end the world, and its near omniscience and ability to warp reality make stopping it seem impossible. She can't even discuss it with Elend, lest Ruin learn their plans!

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

Always Reccomend.

A beautiful reading of a fantastic conclusion to a groundbreaking trilogy. Beware of foreshadowing. I still catch things after each new listen.

I loved this series

I loved it. The ending was unexpected and while this book did drag on a little, I felt like it summed everything up that deserved to be told. Hopefully that makes sense but just a great series!

Incredibly Epic

I've listened to the entire trilogy four times at least, and I'm always moved by this epic finale. Michael Kramer's narration is perfectly executed, as always, and Sanderson wraps up all the ends of the first two books in a neat, but not convoluted, bundle. It's hard to find plot holes and inconsistencies in this first trilogy, which is an impressive accomplishment for any writer. Well done, Sanderson! As a side note, for those who haven't read the second trilogy yet, I feel that Scadrial's logical consistency slips, unfortunately, in the Wax and Wayne series. Nonetheless, the first Mistborn trilogy is a must-read/listen! I loved it!

Hopefully someday I can give Sanderson and Kramer high fives.

One of the best ends to one of the best trilogies

A divinely well written archetypal hero's journey. To say more would be criminal. Read this book (after the first two books in the trilogy of course).

Great Wrap to a Great Trilogy by a Great Author

Brandon Sanderson's catalogue of world and magic building continues to grow with both poise, and seemingly genius forethought on the author's part. This trilogy was yet another drug fueling this fantasy lover's addiction to all things Cosmere.

Journey Before Destination, dear readers.

Captivating

I was just introduced to Brandon Sanderson last October. I have been thoroughly entertained by his writing that I couldn't stop listening to find out what happen. since October, I finished the book 1 thru 3 of Mistborn and all of the Stormlight Archives. I have already acquired book 4 thru 6 of the Mistborn saga, and I can't wait.
