Publisher's summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson, the Mistborn series is a heist story of political intrigue and magical, martial-arts action.

Who is the Hero of Ages?

To end the Final Empire and restore freedom, Vin killed the Lord Ruler. But as a result, the Deepness - the lethal form of the ubiquitous mists - is back, along with increasingly heavy ashfalls and ever more powerful earthquakes. Humanity appears to be doomed.

Having escaped death at the climax of The Well of Ascension only by becoming a Mistborn himself, Emperor Elend Venture hopes to find clues left behind by the Lord Ruler that will allow him to save the world. Vin is consumed with guilt at having been tricked into releasing the mystic force known as Ruin from the Well. Ruin wants to end the world, and its near omniscience and ability to warp reality make stopping it seem impossible. She can't even discuss it with Elend, lest Ruin learn their plans!

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave listeners shaking their heads in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

Unlike any story I’ve ever heard

It is unique and captivating in every way. I’m not good at wrong reviews and this has got to be a certain length.

Great conclusion to the series

I really enjoyed this book. There were several twists, and Sanderson did a great job at tying everything together. The narrator does an amazing job with the character voices.

I didn't give it five stars for two reasons. First, I wish we would have known more about the antagonist earlier. I feel like I could have been more invested if that were the case. I don't think I should write what the second reason is because it's a huge spoiler, but regardless, I had a hard time putting the book down at times because it was so interesting. Would definitely recommend.

Woah

A fantastic novel by an incredible storyteller. Visual, intense, and a writing style that grabs you. I started with his Stormlight series and, by reading this, you get to see the beginning/forming of the “Sandolanche.” The point in his novels where all the previous clues lock into place during an intense avalanche of an ending. Very satisfying conclusion, he nailed it.

A beautiful end to the trilogy!

Brandon Sanderson is a phenomenal writer. I enjoy this world and was pulled into it at the start. He's character description makes you love and/or hate them at their introduction. A great ending!

favorite of all time

The Mistborn Series as a whole is the best story I've ever journeyed through. It's hard to rate each book individually because they were all amazing and we're so important to each. The narrator had his work cut out for him with the number of characters but he did an incredible job. I always knew which character was speaking. Fantastic all around.
