Chapter 2
The five book arc moves quickly, but each is just a chapter in the overall story. I had forgotten how each book ends with a teaser more worthy but just as blatant as the Hardy Boys. It makes the one credit per book seem very costly.
That said I think the performance is wonderful and I am really enjoying walking through shadow again with Corwin. I am hooked again.

Great performance and the story is fantastic.
Great performance and the story is fantastic. The narrator definitely has Corwin down. Don't start with this book, start with the first one, how much will be unclear.

As good as the first
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I very much enjoyed the first book and couldn't wait to get this one. I was just as good.
Have you listened to any of Alessandro Juliani’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
He is great. He just grabs you and you just loves listening to him

Brilliant book performance could be better.
This siries is my absolute favorite. The performer did Corwin fine, not great. Other characters voices were very, very bad. Especially Randoms and the girls.
Oh and no special effects which is a shame. All and all I liked listening instead of reading.

Excellent as always
Jo Walton in her book Among Others discusses Delazny's writing in terms of Style and Content which made me look at his books in a different way. His content is interesting, but not extraordinary. It's his Style of writing. For me, he is without peers in this area. I enjoyed reading his books years ago, and now again as recordings.

The quality of product remains the same
Zelazny keeps the intrigue train rolling with his second volume in the Chronicles of Amber series. Another fine performance from Juliani although, again, I find a few of his performance choices for the characters to be a bit obnoxious. A small and lonely critique for a wonderful reading of a wonderful tale. Examine my review of Nine Princes of Amber for a more comprehensive take on Zelazny's work in this series. The quick takeaway here is: Buy this. You want it.
