Fantasy Made Real

An amazing fantasy book that engulfs the senses. So intriguing that you won't be able to put it down!!

Much Better

The narrator voice that Michael Kramer has settled on is much better than the first book. I no longer feel I’m listening to an actor mocking a newscaster. LOL Great story, great performances from Mr. Cramer and Ms. Reading.

Good Continuation of the Series

A bit dull in the beginning, but the ending makes up for it. Great Worldbuilding.

the second entry to the Wheel of Time series continues to impress and raise the stakes when you think it can't get any more exciting. I was desperately searching for times where I could continue the adventure and went on several long driving sessions to itch that scratch.

No Sophomore Slump here.

I didn't start this until about 6 months after I finished the first book in the series. Once I got myself up to speed again, I found this book was firing on all cylinders for me, more so even than the first book which I really liked. The story really picks up here, and builds on a lot of the world you see in the first story. I really like how Jordan uses terms, historical events and locations in a matter of fact way. At first you are like "What are they talking about???"... but eventually you start to pick up on the underlying history and geography of the world. The characters move forward in their motivations, and you see the true breadth of events happening in the world Jordan has put together. The narration by Kate and Michael is outstanding. There are no annoying musical interludes, just clean clear reading. I am clamoring to get started on the next book in the series, and may even switch to print so I can burn through the rest of the books in the series.

it hasn't trapped me yet

I'm liking the story.
but I like to be trapped and keep listening to all the time. and this book isn't getting me there. at least not as other books have.
but I think is getting there.
I think I have to see the story as a whole, and probably will get to the best part in the next book

Michael Kramer and Kate Reading do a fantastic job with this book. Kate reads more this book than in the first for any who are wondering.

Very good

Another outstanding entry into this world. Jordan does well, as always, with juggling this ensemble of characters. This feels like an excellent advancement in what the characters would be doing. My only true gripe is the material with the Aes sedai. I felt that the story slowed down everytime the it shifted focus to the training. Nevertheless, it has me wanting to come back for more.
