Some secrets are best left forgotten. Some names never spoken. In the depths of Shagharath, a creature of great and terrible power awaits. For countless millennia it has languished in its prison. Now the time has come at last for it to unleash vengeance and ruin upon the world. As Gewey prepares for his final battle, his courage and strength will be tested as never before. Now he will see that the world is not always as it may appear. And he will discover that common ground can be sometimes found…even with a deadly foe.

While the series has been entertaining enough for me to get to Book 5, I must admit that there were multiple times that I nearly gave up to go back and re-listen to the Wheel of Time series (my #1 favorite). However, upon completion of Book 5, I am completely hooked and ready for the final book. The intrigue of Book 5 along with filling out of a few characters beyond their original static trajectory made this book much more of a "page turner."
Starting Book 6 NOW!!!!
I absolutely love this book series! Well though out and expertly crafted! I will not be waiting for the free credit to get the last one!
I thoroughly enjoyed the fifth installment. There are some very nice twists. Also, the rationale behind the power being wielded makes sense to me. There are still a couple events that seemed to leap out of story bounds, but then, this is fantasy.
I really like it, and at this point I'm having a hard time understanding any review less than three stars.
The Godling Chronicles series keeps you on the edge of your seat, you build great bonds with the characters, wishing you could be within the book yourself. An amazing fantasy book, Brian D. Anderson knows all to well how to write. The narration is done so well by Derek Perkins that I couldn't hear it in anyone elses voice.
I truly am in love with these books. Must hear for your ears. Do yourself a favor and get these books. From book 1 to the current book I am on (5) I have not been able to stop. These books really make you love and hate characters. Truly fantastic.
This series is becoming Fantastic. I am solidly invested with the characters as of book 5. No complaints about the narrator, he does a good job setting tones and moods for each scene. Very dynamic reader without being obnoxious.
I love the complexity of the characters and how they are brought together. Well written. Looking forward to the next in the series.
Occasionally some action, but incredibly slow for the most part. the story could be reduced to a 3rd of it's length without missing anything relevant!
"Good in line with the other books in this series"
Well worth. Listening too. I recommend. The complete series' once you start cant put them down.
Enjoyable and keeps you listening
