I read and listen to books as much as possible.
Maybe a better reader.......it's hard to tell which is worse, the reader or the story itself.
Maybe, even the Beatles had a boring song......probably not this boring though.
The reader is just not any good.
The whole first 23 chapters was pretty mind numbing with unrealistic technology and useless detail with no point of reference to the actual universe that has been created for the story.
Two thirds of the way and I am still not getting on-board. This may be my first Audible book I don't finish in 10 years.
Make the characters and their motivations more believable.
No but I would be reluctant to buy another book from this author. The story was just not well written. It was an interesting concept but the story did not come across as genuine. The characters are classic examples of an author trying to write deep motivations and very 3 dimensional characters but ending up with exactly the opposite very possibly because they tried so hard.
The main character needs to be completely rewritten. She is just not believable. I am tired of weak, wishy washy women in SciFi.
I wish I had not wasted the credit
I'm not sure what the story was about, political struggles in the future or intelligent beings on Europa. Story felt disjointed and fragmented, ending elements lacked closure and satisfaction. Was tempted to stop reading when the story focused solely on the human political battles and interpersonal elements that seemed really forced. I didn't like the book that's it.
