The Dark has nearly consumed the planet. Men and beasts have been stripped of their minds, their bodies twisted to serve the Master's will. Her army now numbers in the trillions and is led by two supreme generals. Even the mages have no power to stop her. Driving the survivors to a last bastion of freedom, she calls for the decimated army to surrender.
But mankind stands defiant.
From the ashes of nations the people have united, and together they brace for the impending storm. Bereft of retreat or refuge, they hold to a single hope - that the Oracle can destroy the Dark before everyone is slaughtered. Facing the end, the Oracle must rise to her birthright and find that which can cleanse the Earth of darkness.

This 5 book series is a excellent read it will keep you wanting to cheer for the good guys and wanting moor. I was so glad for the final book to be released and totally satisfied with the ending.
A slighty above average Joe
Too many passages of fighting. Just way too many. And they seemed to get a little repetitive. After 50 fights against OVERWHELMING odds, you kind of start to lose a little something for the fighters. Especially after they do some of the stupidest stuff ever. Hey, let's leave this OP guy alive - who pops back up to kick your teeth in. Didn't see that coming? I did.
Other than the fact he kept confusing Derrick's voice with Iris, awesome.
I don't know.
Maybe because it would be almost interesting to see if he could write more than three paragraphs without a 20 paragraph BAH fight scene. The ending was pretty optimistic, despite how dark the whole series was. Don't see how it can continue.
I"M DONE. YEAH. So dark! Almost depressing. SPOILERS: You killed Jack? and Breaker? and most terribly of all Hawk - once. But a jerk like Cayden gets two or three? Really? And isn't the myth "from the ashes, the Phoenix will rise"? That you didn't is one of the biggest FAILS of these novels. What's up with that? What's the point of Hawk being a phoenix? What? OOh that still gets my goat. And all those WTH moments. And no last words from Iris? Ugh!
I thought this was way too drawn out. mediocre story and I was tired of hearing repetitive phrases throughout the books
Finally a series where i can be proud of the actions the heroe take. This ending was the best I've seen in a while.
This entire series has kept me riveted from the beginning! Ben Hale has crafted an absorbing storyline and wonderful characters that keep you wanting more. I'm sad to see this series come to an end but it was a great ride! Derek Perkins is an amazing narrator- he really helps to color the words into a picture.
This is a must-listen and I know I will revisit this series over and over again!
I struggled through this series only because it stayed off do well.
Let me start off with the performance. Every bad guy sounds the same. I want to say that they literally sound the same, because they did, but worse was the dialogue. "I will destroy you!", "I destroyed you!" Ciara was the only one with an excuse for sounding so archaic.
Second; I love a good Military sci-fi as well as fantasy. It's plain that the author did no research on anything Military. The M-60 jammed after firing millions of rounds. The author forgot to tell us that every gun had been enchanted to fire millions of rounds.
It's a juvenile book, I get that but the research and dialogue are unforgivable.
the performance was top knotch and was a wonderful story that I can re listen to more than once
I've been an avid reader since my college days. I've read over a thousand books and find that reading is the key to unlocking all worlds!!!
Don't want to throw out any spoilers, so all I will say is that the books were well written, should be read as they were written and I was satisfied with the ending, although it was a bit cliche. I do recommend the books, I will read more from this author and I am glad to have read the Series.
good end of the series, from Luminea to fol. I thoroughly enjoyed it all rock trolls next
Really well read and an excellent finale to the series. I couldn't ask for more!

"Fantastic ending to a great series."
I enjoyed every minute of this audio book. This was such a great ending to what was a fantastic series. I have really enjoyed every book that Ben hale has written and I can't wait to find out what comes next. Another great narration from Dereck I loved every minute. If you want a series that has action and adventure with magic and fantacey then give this series ago, you won't be disappointed.
Riveting, listened once then had to listen again. An epic tale immaculately performed that finishes well but still leaves you wanting more.
"nothing like harry potter thank god"
why some people compared it to potter I don't no. Great books all 5 good read and listen. talk about ups and downs good v evil won't say any more give it away .
"Loved this series"
Derek Perkins if rapidly becoming one of my favourite narrators, although and I'm sorry Derek :) just behind Michael Kramer who for me is the king of narration.
Whilst I stand by what I wrote concerning books 1-3, which I did enjoy I should add. I have to say that books 4 and 5 I just couldn't stop listening to. It took me 3 days to listen to both of these books, with book 5 being 1 day. I love the way the author is able to build the tension in his battles scenes. Fab last two books, and overall highly recommend them all.
because i listened to the Chronicles of luminia and the other 4 books in the white mage sagaand was hooked. i have listened to Chronicles of luminia twice now.
the over all presentation and its not all happy happy approach
he resents it really well
all of it
"Excellent conclusion to the series."
Excellent conclusion to the series. Although you hoped and expected Tess to succeed, there wasn't a moment of cheesiness in it. Well worth the listen l.
