Critic reviews

"Jordan deftly weaves details from previous books into this narrative." (Publishers Weekly)
"Fires of Heaven upholds the very high standards of this major fantasy epic, with battle scenes, comic interludes, and character development all reaching perhaps the highest point in a work that has lacked for none of these." (Booklist)
"Jordan's epic saga of a world threatened by evil incarnate builds steadily as separate strands of a complex plot begin to come together. Fans of this richly detailed and vividly imagined series will not be disappointed." (Library Journal)

Women don't like men and vice versa, we get it

Yeah, so the whole women vs men thing is getting out of hand, at least in the Nynaeve arc. Worth the listen, though.

The path of true heros

I started this series before I joined the military, I had to restart the series because of the military taking out all useful information in my brain. I feel that this story shows a hero's true feeling and a true war on the inside. as I read harry potter when I was a kid I felt that there was a bit more to being called a hero than just accepting and moving on. People want a straight good vs evil book but I feel that is a sign of a simple story. This book is more complex than that and shows the true source of the war that we all fight on the inside of doing what's right and doing evil.

Favorite Book Series

this is possibly my favorite of Robert Jordans. it has a fantastic mix of the best parts of this book before everything spirals out of control and after the introduction of our favorite character are made. this book is just different then the rest, you can tell Robert is building his story here with with good before he recalculates to bring the horse to his fans!

Plots thicken

The continuing development of the story line is remarkable for a work of this size. There are anomalies (such as stating that the Lord of the Dark was imprisoned during the age of legends instead of at the creation of the world - this in the prologue), but characters are so rich and truly human in their anxieties and misinformed beliefs. I believe that any author would benefit from having his work read aloud to him to get the flavor of what he has produced.

Love the series

I’ve read the series multiple times and with the new tv show coming up I decided run through them again by audio book this time. I have to say the narrators do a great job of bringing the characters to life and I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook.

just wonderful

I read the books as they were published and I'm really enjoying listening to the stories again, having male and female voices is always better and they do a great job. Such a great story and just love this world they have created
