A good slow burn

It is a slow buildup through the entire book. There is a lot of worldbuilding. The story gets better and better bit by bit. The buildup makes book 2 amazing from the first chapter. The only thing that I don't like is the over explaining that is done on certain points. You will hear that "an Aes Sedai can't lie but the truth that they tell you isn't always the on that you expect: a few hundred times. If that is the only complaint that I can come up with then I can live with that. It only started really annoying me in book 3 when they are still saying it.

good job

this was my first audio book so I chose something I knew one of my favorites, maybe I shouldn't have done that because I love the story so much already but Kramer and Reading did a great job making it seem almost new to me that I fell in love with all over again now if the tv show can do the same

Overall very entertaining

I have read the books years ago and with the new Amazon series wanted to review. The Audio book was great as expected and was almost as good as reading this fantastic book the first time!

WOT is a master piece of fiction right up there with Tolkien’s work.

Absolutely Fantastic!

I loved this audiobook. I was captivated and enthralled the entire time. The narration was spot on. The way that the story is laid out paints a beautiful picture as events unfold. I listened to this book and then immediately started it over. Amazing.

Always just a little bit missing

The Author is good, no doubt. I find that there is certain lulls through out the story line that almost make you feel like you've missed something. I will definitely reread/listen to the book again. It just that intangible element that bothers me, "hmmmm, what have I missed", "did I miss something "?

Otherwise, great read.

A different fantasy story... very enjoyable.

The author took many of the classic fantasy tale tropes & challenged them, bringing them back down to earth & rooting the story around how people actually are, rather than an idealized vision.

It truly works well.
