A great reading of a great book
I’ll always prefer to read the book myself. But, with life busier and fuller than ever, it’s such a gift to be able to listen as one drives or walks or does the dishes. Finished this book in a week as opposed to the month it would’ve taken me.
A 5-star performance of one of the best inaugural books ever written.

Fourth time around
Comparable to Tolkien in scope & breath with in depth characterization of main protagonist & antagonists. The first book of a 14 book cycle, it takes the reader to another place, another time and another reality. First chapter draws you in like a magnet. Tight storyline that comes together in the end. If you think GOT is good. Wait till you read Robert Jordan.

It holds up to the hype
I've struggled to read this book several times because of the style of writing not meshingwith me. Because the book had been recommended so many times I decided to try the adio and found a great spinning of a tale.
