The book is always better!
So I started watching the show on TV and found out it was a book series. SO glad I started listening. The book is WAY better than the tv show. It took me about 6 chapters of very focused listening and occasionally rewinding to get into it but I am glad I did. Great narrators too.

My first fantasy
I read this as a freshman in high school and have started rereading now that I found out Amazon has optioned it for a TV show. it's just as good now that I'm in my thirties as it was when I was 13 though I do find myself sympathizing with the adult characters this time around.

To Remove The Taint
I have just listened to this again in order to shed myself of the odorous TV series that forsakes Sir Jordan of all that is right in a novel. I have been reading the series since I was 15 years old and I am 45 now. I must have read Book 1 at least 3-4 times and listened to the audiobook a couple times. It feels like home when Kate or Michael is narrating. Thank you so much. For Menetheran!!

I loved this story, it was captivating and exciting. It grabs your interest right away and you feel as if you are off on a great adventure.
My one issue was that the reader changed between a male (who read the majority) and female (who read the parts narrated from a woman’s the the man who read most of the book had voices for each of those female characters, a specific pronunciation of various words, and a tone that he carried. I would have preferred the continuity had he read the whole thing, but otherwise, the narration was captivating and dynamic and made the book come to life.

This is a great story, it really is, but the first half of this book is slow. Once the world is built and the characters introduced (there will be plenty of them) the ride begins!

Great narration by two readers.
I started my audible membership to begin this epic tale (14 heavy volumes) and I have been thoroughly enjoying it. With two narrators, it takes a while to get used to suddenly having another voice read the next chapter, but I have grown to really like having the two narrators. Highly recommended.
