Who was the editor?
As a life-long fan of fantasy, I’m glad to make it through three books of The Wheel of Time, and I’m enjoying it overall. I’ve got to say though that the series is a bit of a slog... Not much has happened thus far....and there’s a lot of weakly employed narrative technique where the characters need to engage in some sub-mission which is tangential to the larger plot. This novel can be summed up in one sentence: we’ve got to get a sword! Wasn’t book two: we’ve got to get the horn that we already got in book one. I’m hoping that the next book doesn’t involve another sub-mission!

Angst and humor, delicious!
The performance was of course wonderful as it always is with Kramer and Reading. They are two of the best in the business. The story itself was fantastic. It pushed the story along nicely and made me eager to start the next book. I am enjoying this series immensely.

Getting ready for the TV Series
Listening/Reading again, eagerly waiting to see this one on TV. I've enjoyed this all over again.
Jordan creates such an immersive world. Some complain its too detailed, but I disagree. The picture he paints in the mind is as sharp and clear as Tolkien. When someone lights a pipe, you smell it.
If you are reading this before jumping in, I say this, JUMP. You will not regret it.

Dragon Finally Moving
Great book. Jordan's books sometime drag given the amount of detail he includes, but this book was a good read from the go; no drag. Great plot; fun and interesting characters; a unique style of storytelling. The Dragon Reborn had finally arrived!!
