Better than the 2nd book.

Loved book 1, almost gave up on book2, book 3 was good and brought the plot forward as well as some character development. Detracting immature behavior in the girls and stupid tugging of braids.

Great Movement.

I loved that this book focused a lot on Matt and Perrin. Perrin is the most developed character, and he's the only one who has a brain so far. I didn't enjoy the narration as much. I had to reduce the speed to .85 again. The story progressed so well in this book.

too much Kate Reading reading in this one.

I find myself skipping her dialogue, but maybe it's just this book had too much chickdom

the narrator was wonderful. I really enjoyed the different voices they used to portray all the deep characters in this world.

How does he do it?

This is the third book in the series and I am still hooked. How does he keep so many interesting story lines going. I count seven significant characters that we are following through the wheels of time.

Excellent.

I love being able to listen to these books. Last time I read them I had a long gap between books and it was easy to forget important details but with the audio it's easy for me to keep a steady routine of listening and none of the details escape me. This book gives you the first glimpse into Mat's perspective who is one of my favorite characters in the series. Great performance and though that book is long it has a fast pace.

Incredible, but slower build than 'The Great Hunt'

This is an incredible story. Extremely well read, and exciting throughout.

There is a long build before things really start to move in the story, but the build weaves together very well in the end.

Rand needs to get his $×!+ together

I think Mat is my new favorite character. This book spent its time upgrading the first books side characters with exposition. Turning them into my favorite characters. I do wish that Naeneave and the girls would be nicer to Mat and Perrin though. Poor guys.

A wonderfully entrancing tale

The wheel of time is written so perfectly. It’s tale keeps you guessing with a story shaped around its characters and their personal growth. You gain deeper looks into their lives with each passing book and I cannot wait to start the next one. Jordan does a fantastic job of creating intrigue from legend and crafting a fabulous world to lose yourself into.
