Michael J. Sullivan garnered critical raves and a massive readership for his Riyria Revelations series. The first book in his highly anticipated Riyria Chronicles series of prequels, The Crown Tower brings together warrior Hadrian Blackwater with thieving assassin Royce Melborn. The two form a less-than-friendly pairing, but the quest before them has a rare prize indeed, and if they can breach the supposedly impregnable walls of the Crown Tower, their names will be legend.

Thank You Michael J Sullivan!!!!!!
I did not read the print version
He gives each character a personality.
I have read every book featuring Hadrian and Royce and have loved them all. These share the number one spot with just a few other great reads.
This has been my favorite series that I've listened to on Audible so far. The friendship between Royce and Hadrian is very well written and entertaining. The writing and narration effectively bring them and the world they live in to life. Its a fun series with lots of action and a variety of interesting characters. I would highly recommend this, and the other audiobooks in the series.
You so have to read this book especially if you have read any of his other book. These are just as good, great humor, swash buckling, epic adventure!
Delightful, entertaining, captivating
There was so much action, it's hard to say which moment stood out the most. The beginning of the story captured me and wouldn't let me go!
Everything. I think he did a splendid job on creating a personality for each character.
Hang on to your seat, it's going to be a fast, fun ride!
I have read all the books in the Riyria series and I have loved every one of them. I was so caught up in the characters, their lives, the adventure that I actually started listening to them in bed-- you could say I became a little obsessive about them. I hated to see this series come to an end.
I ran across the Riyria books by chance, and was completely hooked by not only the story and humor, by by the EXCELLENT narration by Tim Reynolds.
The Riyeria books have the same feeling as the Gentlemen Bastard series, without the extra graphic violence. I like them very much.
I really couldn't properly express how much I loved this book, the characters, the overall story. If you haven't been introduced to Riyria, start here. If you read the Revelations and want more, read this.
A bit more slow moving than the Riyria Revelations but is still a good listen with the same lovable characters and engaging story.
A great story; well told and exciting. Wonderful all the way through. No dead, dull, or confusing spots. The narrator has wonderful voices for the various characters and sticks to them. You really get a sense of the personalities and characterizations of the players and an understanding of the culture of the time. I purchased the first book and loved it. I came back yesterday for the 2nd book and it is equally good because the first book just wasn't enough. Great series.
The quality is similar to the Wheel of Time for the story without the padding.
Tim Reynolds is one of the best narrators ever in my book.
Absolutely. BUT I also want to savor it and make it last.
Thank you Michael Sullivan! Could we have more, please?
