Wow! I REALLY enjoyed this book!

What did you love best about The Border?

If I told you this book had aliens, zombies and psychic powers all rolled into an end-of-world theme, you'd probably run screaming from this book. I almost did. But this author actually made all this WORK! Not just work - but its a great story!

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters were VERY well developed and its hard to pick a favorite. Ethan, the main character is the obvious choice. But event he more minor characters - JD, Hannah, Nicki - are all great. The author didn't make the mistake of making the good guys perfect. They are flawed and human.

Have you listened to any of Fred Berman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Fred Berman is one of my absolute favorite narrators!

Great book!

Very enjoyable from start to finish. Well worth the 5 star rating I gave it in my opinion. McCammons writing along with the excellent narration by Fred Berman easily takes your mind into this sifi novel adventure.

Not nearly as good as his other books imo

The narration was irritating & over the top in places. I found myself almost nauseated & certainly bored. Not a terrible book, but I'm not giving it above 3/5. Review by Rick

Pretty good!

Well at first I was kind of put off by the narrator because I'd never heard anything from him before. Once I got going though the narration felt natural and true to the characters.

Wow Great Story!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The story was great, character development was so good I felt like I knew them. Characters were believable(no super heroes, even the super hero) I was rooting for them from the beginning. The story was fast paced but not non stop action sequences, it had the right mix to tell a good story while keeping your intrest peaked. It was definitely more than I expected and the ending was surprising and moving. I was even able to look past the authors poor firearms knowledge which is usually a deal breaker for me( they are magazines not clips, and revolvers don't have safeties). I definitely recommend this book as its not just another alien apocalypse story it was much deeper and very entertaining a 5 star book.
