Publisher's summary

The number one New York Times best-selling series finale and sequel to A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.

Look for the hit TV series A Discovery of Witches, streaming on AMC Plus, Sundance Now, and Shudder.

Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception. But the real threat to their future has yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on even more urgency.

Love the creativity, humor, and voice.

The only thing that annoyed me about this audio book, was that the speaker sometimes droned on during long, informational portions, in a sort continuous melody that was somewhat annoying. It was noticeable enough that I found myself humming the tune instead of listening to the words. However, when there were characters being emotional, the performance was outstanding. The more exciting the book got, the better the speaker became. The story was outstanding. Creative. Not as predictable as one might assume.

great mix of history-mystery-love

I've listened to all in the series and throughly enjoyed all! great combo of period details, character development and a sprinkle of mystery. Narrator did great job with character voices. love Gallowglass accent! Sad it's over.

Doesn’t disappoint

Nice wrap-up to the series. I felt like it did the series justice. Almost wish she’d do one more of the children.

Such an amazing series of books

I became so engulfed with the books in this series that I fear I will miss the characters very much since The author made me feel like I was right there in the story with them.

This has been a fantastic journey. Well worth time

Many corners to peek around. A surprise on the other side of each. A story that leaves you wanting to get to the end. Once you're there you're sorry it went so quickly.

Didn't want it to end

Loved this book and the set. Didn't want this to end. The characters came to life and the story was so inviting you want it to go on and on. If you like witches, vampires, demons and humans without much gruesome gore, this is the book(s) for you. Is about so much but the core, for me, was about how different and the same we all are - just look closer.

Book of life third in series.

Enjoyed listening to this third book in series. The audible version gives character depth that enhances the book. Do yourself a favor and read books one and two first or you will miss out on a lot of character development and huge plot sections will be missing. As the main character is female I enjoyed the female narrator. She did well for the entire series. Only thing that could be better is a male to read the "guy" parts. But that is personal preference and I still give five stars all across the board.
