Publisher's summary

The number one New York Times best-selling series finale and sequel to A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night.

Look for the hit TV series A Discovery of Witches, streaming on AMC Plus, Sundance Now, and Shudder.

Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception. But the real threat to their future has yet to be revealed, and when it is, the search for Ashmole 782 and its missing pages takes on even more urgency.

Perfect.

This book was a great ending to an awesome story. I can't wait for The Serpent's Mirror! Matthew as a double agent spy in the Tudor era? Yes, please!

Great book excellent narrator

Jennifer Ikeda did an amazing job narrating this trilogy. Perfect voice for this story! The book was also a good read! Little to much repeating the same romance, wish there was cooler magic. But it was tough to stop listening to it!

The Best - All About Live, Love, Family - Get It

What made the experience of listening to The Book of Life the most enjoyable?

The relationships, trials of live: All too real.

What does Jennifer Ikeda bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love her voices
She makes me think I'm hearing the real speaker

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Spoiler - I was sad to have left Jack and Annie behind in time.
I was so glad when Jack showed up at Uni I was crying for the family united.
My own ghosts-of-the-mind came forward when the show-downs started. I don't know that I would have been as constrained - I was waiting to join the battle.

Unique creature story

Refreshing, innovative and unique take on vampire, witch and demon legends. I would love to see this made onto a movie. Way better than sparkles.

I couldn't stop listening

The whole series was a great story. I found myself sneaking off to listen even when it was inconvenient, and listening even when I only had a couple of minutes. I couldn't wait to hear what happened next. The narrator was perfect.

Couldn’t put down/turn off the whole trilogy

Great story. A few key terms and phrases repeated excessively, but it was easy to overlook it because the story and characters were so good.
