great continuation of the Mistborn series. the author captured me from the first page. the narrator is perfect.

Amazing, well thought, beautifully written!

This book is great! fast paced story with entertaining, interesting and dynamic characters. Michael Kramer really brings this book to life. He's very talented! Loved this book! love Brandon Sanderson, he's so creative and talented. I highly recommend this book!

a bit rushed in the end, but it's really a fine book to listening. and Mr. Kramer did something marvelous for the characters here, as always.

Short for mystborn but more fun

This isn't the Epic the mystborn trilogy was, but it's not meant to be. See how the world and the magic has evolved in this fun story about a lawman his sidekick and a band of outlaws.

Fun Western

I was not expecting to like this series anywhere near as much as the original Mistborn trilogy, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was a quick, fun expansion of the world and I fell in love with the characters just as much as I have with all of Sanderson's other novels. Per usual, Michael Kramer's narration is perfection. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!

Top Notch

Extremely well written book! This is a brilliant beginning to a series that I absolutely love. This is my third or fourth time through. I love the western feel and flavor and the mixture of alamancy. fantastic!

Excellent Hybrid

A cross between Batman, James Bond, and Sherlock Holmes uses his magical powers to fight crime in a spaghetti western version of Victorian London during the industrial revolution of a well-established fantasy world.

slow burn, worth it

epi: bunny joke had me laughing for days. Well crafted. very Brandon. pulp magic? main characters well developed engaging relatable

Not what i expected

I was really excited when i found this series; I had just finished the first three mistborn. I admit though that i was disappointed. Theres less character development in this. Wax is a bit self centered and really doesnt have much to him personality wise. Wayne is far more interesting a character but hes a secondary. You only get the basics of his background. The plot, or mystery to this story is also very predictable. There was no gripping your seat suspense and the bad guy was pointed out from almost the beginning. Sanderson also made alimancy far more complicated. I find it harder to understand immerse myself into the world because its just so much more complicated. I dont think i will listen to the other two, but im undecided; if only because i like to fonsih things wholeheartedly and not in part.
