Publisher's summary

"I don't love Sonny Flannery."

That's the lie Kelley Winslow told to protect the boy she loves from a power he doesn't know he possesses. Devastated, Sonny retreats to a haven for Lost Fae that's hidden deep underneath New York City.

But Kelley's not about to let things end in heartbreak. To get Sonny back, she's got to find out who's after his magick - and how to use her own. She's got to uncover who's recruiting Janus Guards to murderously hunt innocent Faerie. She's got to help rebuild the shattered theater company she called family. And she's got to do it all without getting dangerously distracted by the Fennrys Wolf, whose legendary heart of stone seems to melt whenever he's around Kelley.

The intrigue and romance that began with Wondrous Strange and Darklight come to a stormy head in Tempestuous, the breathtaking conclusion to Lesley Livingston's ravishing urban Faerie trilogy.

Amazing

I owe an apology to Ms. Livington. I think I gave the previous book in this series a 2 because I hated the ending. Now I see it was simply a segway to this amazing ending. My pet peeve is when characters tell their one true love that they don't love them to protect them. It's just so done to death. In fact, I was mad through the first part of this one because of the lie Kelly had told Sonny and the hurt it caused. I was then drawn into the story against my will because it was so masterfully woven and as a writer of YA fiction, I recognize brilliance when I hear it! Kudos to Lesley Livingston! Oh yeah, and she narrated it herself. This is a crazy good Faery story and a clean romance.

Very good series

This book is the last in a very good trilogy. I very much enjoyed the characters and the use of all kinds of fae lore in the story. Probably took a good deal of research, and the author brought life and emotion and "human" foibles to the mythic characters. The author did a great job reading her books, which as we know doesn't always work out so well. My only objection... I hate it when the lead female character acts like a complete ninny. Yes, she redeems herself at the end but getting there is painful. Other than that, very good listen. Don't know if this is a stand-alone trilogy or if the series will continue, but I'll be watching for more by this author.
