It began with an undercover government agency, and agency experimenting with genetic breeding, their goal to develop and enhance specific mental powers--to create teeks. But not everone was willing to be a guinea pig, and have their children turned into some sort of monstrous mutation--so some of the experiments escaped. But now the agency was deterimined to track them down no matter what the cost. And with loyal teeks doing the hunting, how could they fail?...

This book was slow to get going and I am sorry to say that I was unable to finish it. It's not that it was horribly written - it's just that I didn't care. I didn't care about the characters, their stories (or lack thereof) and the plot. It was not making sense in the kind of way that makes you stop and think "well, why didn't he/she/it just do this/that/or the other?" Duh!!! And when you are not invested in the main character and the plot, then it is death to the entire endeavor. I love books and stories and it pains me to say that I was unable to finish a book, but in this case I would have rather had a root canal than listen to the rest of the book. It was also not because of any fault on the part of the narrator. She was good.
