The epic tale of everyone's favorite dark elf, Drizzt Do'Urden, reaches new heights!

Drizzt Do'Urden struggles with his own inner voices, voices that call him back to the pitiless depths of the Underdark. Time and again they're told to turn back, that some dreams can never be fulfilled, but on they fight - together.

Excellent!

I loved this book when I read it in the 90’s and I loved hearing it now.

I love this story, but...

I love this story, but the narrator pronounces some words in such a way as to make me feel like I just heard nails on a chalkboard (lived for instance). Fortunately these words are few and far between. He does alter his voice slightly for different characters so that is good.

Tempest!!!

While I liked The Crystal Shard, this was still an excellent continuation that will be most appreciated after the final sentence is said. I look forward to checking out The Halfing’s Gem in the near future!

basically the last part of the Hobbit

I read a bunch of reviews and no one said anything like they didn't notice the story line is basically the finding of lonely mountain, more action packed and less dense but not as original or creative as the other stories on the series. It's good and don't let the fact it's the hobbit with a lamer dragon turn anyone away. it's pretty good.

never get tired of drizzt. I find them a great in

between epics like Wheel of Time and Stornlight series. The DarknElf books are like a fabukous snack between meals.

Another excellent title...

This was my 4th book about Drizzt and it continued to be very good. The villain is why I took off one star, he was quite superficial and bland. But, other than that, I loved all of the major characters!

Now, on to book 5.

Just fantastic!

Salvatore nailed this one, hit it out of the park, aced it, embarrassed all other fantasy writers. The narration wasn’t so bad, either.
