performance of the reader was very average, parts of the audio a new voice cuts in that breaks emersion. Great story.

Loved it.

Fantastic futuristic militarized society. If you're an Ender's Game fan, you'll like this book. The audio needs some work though, there are several times where it had to be re-dubbed over and the difference is stark. It could do with a fresh recording.

Great story, garbage recording quality.

I, unlike many other reviewers, don't think the voice actor did a poor job. That said, the general quality is really lacking. There are a lot of times when the recording makes it seem as if there is a new voice actor or entirely new book for a few seconds.

All that said, was still worth it.

fascist fantasy

Starship Troopers is largely about a distant future in which the human race is colonizing and subjugating various species throughout the Galaxy through means of military imperialism. themes of moral philosophy homoeroticism and the glorification of corporal punishment prevale throughout.

Needs an update audio

Great book, just needs a new voice actor to re read it with modern sound equipment.

A True Testament to the Infantry

I started my military career in the infantry, and I have to say - only this book seems to capture the infantry mindset so perfectly. Outside of my adornment for this given my bias, it truly is a fantastic read with incredible detail to the futuristic culture and technology. it has brilliant philosophical influence and reads superbly.

Better than the movie.

Orbital mechanics, powered jump suits, killing bugs, nuke guns and moral philosophy abound this was a fantastic listen. Heinlein is a genius.

Absolutely outstanding

There's a reason why this is the golden standard sci-fi book that others try to copy.
