The Underdark. A place of brooding darkness, where no shadows exist, and where Drizzt Do'Urden does not wish to go. The noble dark elf must return there, though, he must go back to find his friends in the gnome city of Blingdenstone, and on to Menzoberranzan, the city of drow. Only then can Drizzt discern what perils might reach out from that dark place to threaten his friends in Mithril Hall.

D&D has been in our lives for more than 40 years, and millions of folks globally continue to explore new realms. The book starts out slowly and gradually builds up the action and excitement, as Drizzt and his friends deal with tragedy and old enemies. We go into the Underdark and see more of the Dark Elves and other creatures that live down there, which is very interesting and keeps the suspense going.

The book is enjoyable, but Victor Bevine still has an odd way of narrating for me. He almost whispers, but on the other hand his voices for the characters are distinct and done very well. If you've come his far in the Drizzt series of books, this one won't disappoint. Good fun.

Back to Menzoberranzan! Good, classic Drizzt

Love the characters and story. Narrator is top notch and I could swear he’s multiple people. Where can I get me a scimitar?!

Couldn’t stop listening!

If anyone hasn't listened to these books yet then you are absolutely wasting your life! This author has more talent in one finger than Stephen King has in his whole body! Everyone needs to know about R. A. Salvatore!!

this entry in the drift series he'll lots of suspense and kept me fascinated throughout. the return to menzoberranzan and reappearance of characters both loved and hated brought great joy especially with the dazzling finish. I still find myself laughing every time the narrator mispronounces the phrase short-lived and his inability to produce more than one voice for enemy females is understandable but takes away from the immersion

👍👍👌😎
Good Story okay narrator. I prefer the Russell Johnson narrations better. This 15 word requirement sucks though.
