Publisher's summary

The Clone Wars have exploded across the galaxy as Republic forces and Separatists struggle to gain the upper hand. But while the Jedi generals work tirelessly to defeat Count Dooku and his rebels, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine is hatching his own dark plans.

The Separatists have launched a sneak attack on Coruscant. Obi-Wan Kenobi, wounded in battle, insists that Anakin Skywalker and his rookie Padawan, Ahsoka, leave on a risky mission against General Grievous. But when Senator Bail Organa reveals explosive intelligence that could turn the tide of war in the Republic's favor, the Jedi Master agrees to accompany him to an obscure planet on the Outer Rim to verify the facts.

What Obi-Wan and Bail don't realize is that they're walking into a deadly trap concocted by Palpatine...and that excape may not be an option.

Inspired by the full-length animated feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the brand-new TV series, this thrilling adventure is filled with provocative, never-before-revealed insights into the characters of Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Yoda, Count Dooku, and many other Star Wars favorites.

Strong start and middle. End, a trudge

Loved the narration (except female voicing was eh).
Sound effects and music added to the whole thing.

The last part of the novel definitely dragged compared to how it started.

Expected more Rex

So not a bad story about the sith and the jedi, but fully expected more clones. I personally like star wars for the wars. So I felt a little mislead by the cover. Still on the whole not a bad story. I would recommend this book

This book was well read. It has an ok story.

This book is well read. It has a couple of tropes that I don't like, such as taking someones power away. but It does tie in to the Clone wars series, and I like that so it's ok.

Too Long

The story was pretty good I just feel the only thing that brings it down is the length, largely due to its repetition.

my favorite SW story from the Clone Wars era!

this simple story between Bail and Obiwan should be adapted visually. A tale of survival and courage

Three obvious problems

No matter how great a Star Wars novel is there are three glaring problems. If you dwell on them for too long they can ruin great Star Wars novels and even ruin some of the best Star Wars trilogy's.One of those trilogy's being the Darth Bane trilogy. Dwell on it too long and it can bring a true diehard Star Wars fan to his/her knees. Anyway, as I stated, there are three problems and when you know what those problems are no matter how good a Star Wars novel is you will always know, in the back of your mind, that all the hard work done by many, many, many talented authors to make Star Wars more than just a "cowboy space opera" for kids left much to be desired on the silver screen. The three obvious problems are Episode's VII, VIII, IX. I hate to say it but I prefer pre Luke Skywalker Star Wars. I Darth Bane, Darth Zannah, Darth Malgus, Darth Revan. Novels from "Legends" are great, just to let you know if you're new to Star Wars "novelization universe".

Wow!

I am not normally one to read/listen to the extended stories for Star Wars but I can honestly say, I’m hooked on this book! My husband was listening when we were carpooling in to work one day and I got so involved that we started over from the beginning and listened to the entire audiobook together. Well written, incredibly well performed, perfect!
