Publisher's summary

In the Stars Wars galaxy, evil is on the move as the Galactic Alliance and Jedi Order battle forces seen and unseen, from rampant internal treachery to the nightmare of all-out war.

With each victory against the Corellian rebels, Jacen Solo becomes more admired, more powerful, and more certain of achieving galactic peace. But that peace may come at a price. Despite strained relationships caused by opposing sympathies in the war, Han and Leia Solo and Luke and Mara Skywalker remain united by one frightening suspicion: someone insidious is manipulating this war, and if he or she isn't stopped, all efforts at reconciliation may be for naught. And as sinister visions lead Luke to believe that the source of the evil is none other than Lumiya, Dark Lady of the Sith, the greatest peril revolves around Jacen himself.

Brilliant

This is one of those stories that hits with a punch. Jacen Solo’s fall becomes heartbreakingly obvious in this book. This series flows wonderfully with the rest of the Legends. Lumyia and her involvement with Luke brought me waaaay back to 80’s comics. (Any inconsistencies are explained in Luke Skywalker and The Shadows of Mindor. Han stupidity sells the rights to his story to Disney... wait...I mean a crappy film studio. Seriously. And the adventures in the marvel comics happened. Just not exactly as portrayed in the old comics. Get it on kindle you won’t regret it).
Legends maybe over by they will never be forgotten.

seriously saddest series in all of star wars,

love this series, so sad, seriously wish it wasn't abridged, watching the fall of jacen solo makes me cry every time I read it, the audio book may cuts or so much of the story.and you really ding get the feel of wheat everyone goes through its so rushed and ruins the story, just does not do honor to the character we watched grow from toddler to dark lord of the Sith, I really hate what they did to this story, really really really hate that Disney just erased the entire galaxy to replace it with their nonsensical garbage that is only Star Wars in name and nothing else. the audio book is still great but it's a quarter of the actual story of jacens fall, not as bad as how they butchered "star by star" with the audio book which makes no sense considering its one of the most pivotal books in the entire story line. I wish they would re release the entire series unabridged so that people who don't have time to read could see the real star wars.

Please Unabridge!

I hate these abridged versions of this series. Please release the unabridged versions. Things just seem to randomly happen. Characters just appear places they shouldn't be based on the story that's being performed. If we had the missing parts we'd have been understanding of everything that's going on.

Good

I thought this was good. It was not as eventful as the 3rd one but way better than the first.
