Everyone should read this.

Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead are two books that should be required reading in life. It is full of so may things that we learn too late in life or do not learn at all.

A Repeat Fav

Totally worth it! I listen to this and the whole EG series many times per year. I enjoy the storytelling, philosophy, and most of the voices. I don’t really need so many musical interludes, but it’s not too intrusive. This is probably my favorite installment because we get into the guts of the characters and the overall plot.

Intelligent and Deep

Interesting continuation of Ender's Game with surprising change of events. Thankfully not another military story

Such an amazing book, even better than the first.

Not to get too political but it’s hard to imagine someone who has as much compassion and empathy that it took to write this book have the same views as Mr Card. Anyway, I love this book.

Think warpspeed the podcast. Not ender's game, smarter less battle and more your gonna pause and think about death and how we exist.

Excellent book with tons of meaning in each chapter. I loved it, but for a different reason than Ender's Game. Another must read.

One of my favorites

Speaker for the Dead is very different from Ender's Game. Set in the same universe, this story deals with the aftermath of the events from the first book (as you would expect). The difference is that this story is not action-filled. It is more philosophical and looks at what makes people who they are and what it means to be human. The 'Speaker for the Dead' occupation is very interesting and seeing it performed was one of the most enjoyable parts of the book. The narration is strong also, with good performances all around.

The whole way. This book kept me interested. Great follow-up to Ender's Game.

Impressive yet different

I loved Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, and Orson Scott Card's ability to bring these characters is impressive. It has a very different feel from those two books, but this book has a lot of additional emotions involved. I will definitely continue the series.
