"As Good As Good As I Remembered"
I've read the Rift War books many times over the past 20 years and was worried that a narrator wouldn't match my memory. I had nothing to fear, other than some random pauses which must have happened as part of the mastering process the story was well told.
The story is a proper adventure/quest tale which is well paced and an excellent if too short follow up to Magician. It also sets the scene perfectly for the climax in Darkness at Sethanon.
"A great listen"
Read exceptionally well as before, great story and very enjoyable to listen to. Looking forward to the next installment and the conclusion.
I enjoyed this in the car. was very well read and was really well done
"Big fan of feist. peter joyce isnt half bad"
Big fan of feist. peter joyce isnt half bad narratng though I find him much better at 1.25x speed on audible :)
Good follow on from magician , a few edit errors in this recording like a couple of times you hear a repeat of the story but apart from that an excellent narration
more enjoyable than when i read it years ago highly recomended, cant wait for the finale started the download before i finished this, again i wish that somone would make this series in to films
"This book is amazing. What a story!!!"
loved this story. he get everything right in making you like the people it the story
As the 2nd book in the series this is an excellent continuation of an immersive world, well told and an excellent step in the saga.
"A master piece"
I read these series of books more than once but to have them on audio too is very gripping! Excellent!
"Not up to the Magician"
I was a bit disappointed. I found the storyline a bit random, and it came to an abrupt end which forces you to buy the next book if you want to know what happens next. I haven't done so, yet. I think I need a break and something a bit lighter!
