All-new action in the number-one New York Times best-selling urban fantasy series.
When mechanic and shapeshifter Mercy Thompson attempts to return a powerful Fae book she'd previously borrowed in an act of desperation, she finds the bookstore locked up and closed down. It seems the book contains secret knowledge - and the Fae will do just about anything to keep it out of the wrong hands.
And if that doesn't take enough of Mercy's attention, her friend Samuel is struggling with his wolf side - leaving Mercy to cover for him, lest his own father declare Sam's life forfeit.
All in all, Mercy has had better days. And if she isn't careful, she might not have many more to live.
Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

I tried this series because it was similar to some others I had listed to. I like paranormal books but with some funny in them and some romance in them, this series had them all. I wizzed right through the series and waiting anxiously for the next book to come out. If you like the Sookies Stackhouse books and the Laurell Hamilton/Anita Baker books you'll like this series. Also the new Darynda Jones new series. They all have the same to offer and they are all great!
I loved the book and the narrator did a great job with the voices. The whole series is great, and I can't wait for the 6th book to come out in January 2011.
I love to read, but I am time-limited. Audible allows me to keep up with all my favorite authors while on the hiking trail. Thanks, Audible!
If you like urban fantasy romance, you will enjoy the Mercy Thompson series. Who knew that returning a borrowed book could be so dangerous or even remotely interesting? Briggs does a fantastic job creating a rich and colorful world. Her characters are dynamic and full, and I want to know more about all of them. The Mercy Thompson series is a simple read and useful as a good distraction from more mundane tasks like workouts, long drives, or data collection.
I missed Stephan in this book and I am hoping that the next book is more about Mercy, the Werewolves and Vampires and less about the fae which are the main focus in this book.
The Samuel plot was interesting, but resolved to quickly and easily.
yes I have already did. they too like this kind of book
the group working together
between Samual and Mercy
I just love Patrica Briggs and her books. They never disappoint. I wait for each book to find out what has happened since the last time I open a book.
I loved the descriptions of the characters. I felt like I was there. The loyalty shown is touching.
I love this Series!!!!! I wish there were more books available, I hope she is writing more. You won't be disappointed if you like the supernaturals. And Don't miss the other series that she writes that is some what of an off shoot with the Montana relatives. Just starting that one and hope it is as good as this one! Lorelei is the best narrator, very easy to listen to.
Yes. I love the storyline. I love Lorelei King's narration. She brings the characters to life. I have recommended the entire series to a friend. Anyone who likes romance and adventure would like this series.
I am so happy that she reads the Stephanie Plum novels. Can't wait.
The Patricia Briggs' stories are so riveting that re-listening is almost required. Every time I listen to a book a 2nd or even 3rd time, I pick up more nuances in the characters.
I think it has to be Mercy although she does a good job with the vampires and the wolves, too. I liked all the wolf characters and Stefan. The Fairy Queen sounded evil but she was not my favorite.
I like the way she changes her voice to get just the right inflection. You can actually hear Adam growl.
If you thought your neighbors were bad, just wait and see who Mercy lives next to.
I love the entire series. Ms. King is a terrific performer. She brought the story to life.
