PMS is no fun for werewolves.
Forget the full moon, female werewolves shift uncontrollably at that time of the month. But after years of practice, teenaged Terra learns to squash her wolf, which allows her to flee the repressive village where she grew up.
A decade later, Terra realizes she has an even worse problem. After hiding from her wolf for so long, she is now shiftless, unable to change back into canine form.
When her father shows up with an ultimatum, Terra knows she'll have to learn to shift or return to her place in her family's pack. Will Wolfie, a nearby alpha who's more wolf than man, be a stumbling block in Terra's quest to maintain her freedom?
As Terra struggles to escape two werewolf packs that seem poised to suck her back in, the real question becomes - does she really want to stay away?

When I started to listen to Shiftless, I was pleasantly surprised to hear the story of Terra and Wolfie. I had read the book a few months ago and quite enjoyed the story.
This book was a great concept in having a lone female wolf that is strong and independent. Terra ran away from her pack at 17 and hasn’t looked back since. When her father does find her he issues her an ultimatum for returning to the pack. Terra has a chance encounter with Wolfie in a bookstore and again when she goes to meet the nephew she didn’t know about. Wolfie shows her that there is more than just bad alphas.
Kelly McCall Fumo does a nice job bringing Wolfie, Terra and the rest of the packs to life. Terra learns more about her wolf, Wolfie and true pack life in a short time. It’s a sweet story, I loved Wolfie and his backwards nature as much as I loved how strong Terra was.
Yes I'd listen to it again....its a really good story an listening again would be easy to do
Terra...as she was the main character an we get to know alot about her...
When Terra allows her wolf to come out after keeping her in "the cage" for so long
Werewolves an PMS dont mix!!!
I really enjoyed this book an have already recommended it to my friends....
I really enjoy the new werewolf universe that Easterling has created. I first read the book and immediately went to her website to find out when the next book would arrive and signed up for the mailing list. I enjoyed following the main characters through their journey. I the reading was good and easy to on the ears, but only 4 stars because there was no vocal character differentiation in the narration. I expect to follow this series for a long time.
Tastefull. Finding own path.
The insights on growing up as a female werewolf under alpha leader.
Great addition to my library. Listened to it all in one listen and wanted the next one.
Shiftless being told from a female werewolves point of view.
Terra, the main character.
No, but I plan on it.
More than anything, I found this entertaining.
Overall I enjoyed Shiftless.
Yes, I would definitely listen to this book again - I'll listen to it before I listen to the next one. BTW, when is the next one coming out? Tomorrow isn't soon enough. How about NOW! :)
Lovely romance, well written.
I haven't listened to any of her previous performances but her narration was impeccable.
Wonderful, enjoyable, page turner (if there were pages to turn)
Meeting Wolfie for he first time. Even i can feel the heat flushing my cheeks.
Tara was so lovable!
What does your wolf think?
I loved this book. I enjoyed the story and the performance, well done! I just can't seem to say enough good things about it. I would listen to it again and again. I will be getting the next books. I can't get enough of Tara and Wolfie. And I can't wait to find out what happens next!
I am a audio book lover turned Audio Book Reviewer since Nov '14. Love it and now started my own review blog featuring all the reviews here!
The narrator Kelly Fumo really kept this book flowing from start to finish. I compare her to Dina Pearlman that does the Anna Strong Series by Jeanne C Stein. Kelly has me on ready for the next in the series!
The characters were well fitted to the story. Found myself drawn into the story and actually seeing the characters in my mind. The chemistry between Terra and Wolfie is predictable but the story does have a few twist and turns. Terra's flight from her family life as a werewolf and how she is drawn back to the pack at her fathers' request for her or her nephew she has never seen. How will she handle it? Well without a spoiler to the story this quick 4 1/2 hr read will have you hanging on from start to finish wanting more!
I really do hope that the next book is longer! Enjoy the read!
Terra left her small village and pack when she was a teen. In order to live in the outside world she learns to suppress her wolf side. In fact she does this so well that she has trouble shifting into her canine form.
After meeting an Alpha wolf from another pack and receiving an ultimatum from her father, Terra must decide whether or not to go back. If she does, will she be able to bring back her wolf too?
I really enjoyed this book. So many times werewolf/shifter books are about the guys. This time a strong female takes the lead. Ms. Easterling has created a world that has both traditional shifter characteristics but she has also added some twists.
Ms. Fumo's narration is perfect for this story. She gives each character their own voice and draws you further into the story. I kept coming back to see where the story would go next. I'm hoping that there will be a book 2.
I would recommend this book to my friends who like the paranormal/shifter world and also those who enjoy a little romance in their story.
This audio ranks very high among all the audiobooks I have listened to and I listen to a lot of audiobooks. The plot moves along very quickly with no slow spots, the narrator gives a lot of definition to each character so it is easy to follow the story.
If I had to pick a favorite character I guess it would have to be Wolfie. He has such an unusual outlook and is such a protective and loving Alpha that it really makes you want to have such a loving support in your own life.
Kelly was able to give each character a definite "feel". This made it easy to keep up with what was going on even if you were listening and doing something else at the same time.
I would love to hear or read the sequel to this. Because of the way it ended there was a definite feel of a sequel coming up.
